"Brilliant transfer of this grindhouse gem. Missed out on the slipcover but the box art is perfect. No complaints on the shipping, all around positive experience."
"Haven't watched this one yet but it does seem interesting. Missed out on the slipcover but this still goes very well into my Vinegar Syndrome collection."
"A film that keeps you on edge, definitely worth a watch, has some great music too!"
"Best Friends is a gritty and raw portrayal of friendship and survival. The film is noted for its stark visuals and compelling performances, particularly from leads Richard Hatch and Doug Chapin. Cinematographer Stephen M. Katz's work is highlighted for capturing the desolate landscapes and tense atmosphere that define the film's tone. The narrative unfolds with a sense of urgency and unpredictability, keeping viewers engaged throughout its 83-minute runtime."
"On my watchlist still. ."
"it was a decent movie in general, but a couple of times caught myself on falling asleep"
"This has some nice performances from the lead actors. A character drama that morphs into a thriller. This captures the era’s anti-Vietnam sentiment in an interesting way. The cinematographer did 2 of my favorites in Blues Brothers and Messiah of Evil so that alone makes this worth a watch."
"More a drama almost and there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s a slow burn, but definitely shows us a different time and place that it would be hard to emulate in modern movies."
"How about that tag line on the slipcover and original poster? What movie is that even about, LOL? This buddy movie was pretty good, and the transfer was well done. The story can be frustrating, but it's compelling enough all the way through."
"When I saw the excellent slipcover, I just had to order this one! It took me on a wild ride back to the 70's and was a really cool flick! It has lots of action and a pretty good story line as well! The transfer, as always is peerless as with anything VS releases! Highly recommended!"
