So you pop in some random 70s flick you bought from Vinegar Syndrome, based on the cover probably something sleazy, and you settle in. Instead of a sleazy exploitation crime and ***** movie, which is the vibe I got from the cover, suddenly I'm watching a dreamy freeform 1970s road movie (still with *****) and I'm not hating it. Not what I was in for but definitely a vibe.
Then the vibe shifts. The end of this flick is wild. Without spoiling anything, there's a decent amount of violence, some terror and some tragedy. The final shot is the most 70s ending ever.

Beautiful looking but a fairly grim movie: While most gritty 70s’ road trip movies are catnip to me, this was a slog of an immature psychotic boringly pushing around passive, foolish people. Cool vehicles, though!

This is a great movie. Now I hope for a VSMC cover.

A little too slow for my liking.
