...we meet again! More Jess Franco titles? YES! Almost feels like a soft version of Ilsa movie series.

Delirium knocks it out of the park with this release. Love that slipcover, and the film looks great. Quite competent direction in comparison to Jess Franco's White Cannibal Queen. The movie is mostly over-the-top torture with lots of *****. Yet, somehow it works. There are some characters you want to see get their comeuppance. But I can't say I ever felt sorry for any of the prisoners. A lack of character-building will do that. Still quite fun.

Jess Franco was one of the first directors of out there euro-cinema I got into. He and Lina Romay and the films they made are very dear to me, and I never tire of going back to them. Great WIP flick here.

Feels like a Franco b-side, which it probably was. Direct and to the point, without a whole lot of subtext or artistic flourishes, other than crotch shots and his penchant for finding great locations. Romay absolutely steals every linger of the camera due to her glowing screen presence.
