One of the more fun oddball Amityville sequels because the haunted-object angle is so ridiculous but played with a straight face. The evil lamp setup gives it that late-80s TV-horror charm, and Patty Duke helps ground all the supernatural nonsense. The new restoration is exactly the kind of treatment this strange corner of the franchise needed.

I love the original Amityville horror and its first 2 official sequels . I was aware VS had Gotten the rights to some of the later sequels, but I didn't pick them up. . . . . until now. This is a made for TV sequel. . . . . that doesn't directly tie into the ends of the other films. . . . . . the (or a) supernatural entity invades a home by taking over an inanimate object. . . . wrecking havoc throughout the home of an upset, transplanted east coast family, moving to the west coast to join their grandmother. The film has excellent remastering, some bonus features, is blu ray only. . . . . but the film itself isn't too scary, and not as good as the first 3 official films. Even so, it's mildly interesting as family friendly made for tv horror.

I actually did enjoy this one. Lol! It’s definitely for those who like the Cheesy B Horror.
