Dread Heavy
A Grand Mockery is a raw, confrontational indie that leans into its gritty, lo-fi aesthetic. The film has an almost chaotic energy, creating a sense of unease that carries through from start to finish. It’s not an easy watch, but its intensity and unapologetic style make it a memorable one.

Awesome microbudget movie from Australia
Was brought to my attention by Louise Weard via her podcast, and I'm happy to report that this film was very much up my alley. Feels like a mix of Clerks, Napoleon Dynamite and Lost Highway, and the Super 8 photography really lets the griminess of its atmosphere shine through.
