"Ralf König’s comic classic Killer Condom blends absurdist horror with unexpected social commentary. Udo Samel’s gruff Detective Mackeroni is a trailblazing, openly gay protagonist, rejecting stereotypes while navigating his sexuality and the bizarre case. The portrayal of sex work is also noteworthy, with Leonard Lansink’s Babette offering a mix of camp and complexity, giving agency to a marginalized role. The film challenges norms and subverts harmful stereotypes, all while delivering raucous, outrageous fun. Through its unique characters and memorable moments, Killer Condom remains an instant classic."
