But when a new couple (Tiffany Shepis, Carmine Capobianco) moves in next door, they begin to suspect something sinister. The list of missing girls is growing—and all signs point to Ginny’s basement. What horrors has she been hiding all these years... and who will survive her hunger for revenge?

Reviews

Debbie's Direction & Lynn's Performance Are Incredible

"Two things make 'Model Hunger' extremely effective: Lynn Lowry's performance and Debbie Rochon's directing. 'Model Hunger' is about a former pin-up model driven crazy by how she was discarded by the industry, and turns to covertly murdering and cannibalizing her neighbors and any young woman she encounters. Shot in the early 2010s, Debbie's use of the digital film aesthetic captures the just-off aspects of an already pretty distorted upstate New York. Debbie's direction also elevates the concept as, in the hands of a male director the torture could lean into the realm of fetishism whereas Debbie capture what deeply unsettling horror is on-screen. Lynn Lowry is still an incredible, incredible actress and dedicates herself to every syllable in every scene. Just tremendous and sells the whole thing. Tiffany Shepis and Suzi Lorraine are also fantastic here, adding to both the humanity of the viewer and the surreal peril of the world of the film. It's 84 minutes but the agony makes it feel longer, and I mean that as a compliment. Truly among the best of the subgenre. Recommended."

Debbie Rochon and Lynn Lowry for the win!

"Debbie Rochon directs this film about an aging ex-model (played by Lynn Lowry) who has more than a thing or two to tell these young girls running around today about how they should be appreciating there lives. If you're a fan of Rochon, Lowry, or independent horror films in general, you should pick this up and give it a watch! The special features are pretty informative as well."

"Fun modern horror. PQ is great with some cool features. Great release."

Fun little movie

"Very cheesy and low budget, but lots of fun with familiar faces. Recommended."

Model Hunger

"Wild Eye Releasing is on of my new favorite Partner Labels to release b-horror the Vinegar Syndrome website. Model Hunger is a pretty gruesome horror movie with a very different take on the horror genre. I definitely recommend checking this one out! Packaging and presentation are excellent!"

Love Debbie Rochon

"I always support this indie powerhouse when i can. Nice musing on an aging starlet as an antagonist. I'd recommend it to any Debbie Rochon or Lynn Lowry fan. Beautiful and talented Tiffany Shepis too"

John H. (3/5)

I rally lowk Debbie Rochon

"I rally lowk Debbie Rochon and Tiffany Shepis. I’m not very familar with Lynn Larry but she was very good in this. Unfortunately this movie, while having a some good gore, is dull and over lit . I also don’t understand what the message was . Body positivity? Then why use obese models being as gross and unpleasant as possible. They are not meant to celebrate large women being beautiful but to make them repulsive as possible."

Nice release from Wild Eye

"Nice release from Wild Eye Entertainment. Starring my ultimate crush Lynn Lowry with Tiffany Shepis another awesome actress who've I've followed for years. Seems like a Troma film in a good way and the restoration looks fantastic. Filled with a ton of extras. A great package!"

Bryan K. (5/5)

Interesting take on a somewhat standard trope

"I've been seeing a lot of movies about older women killing young people lately. Another partner label release (Candle for the Devil) is an almost identical plot. But the direction and acting are strong enough to hold interest here. Probably 4 star movie but added one for the multitude of extras. Tons of interviews including about 7 hours of interview and commentary from Debbie Rochon, the legend herself. This movie actually shot pretty near where I live but I somehow had never heard of it till now. Worth checking out."

Ed K. (5/5)

Feels like Debbie's working on

"Feels like Debbie's working on some personal demons in this, which is believable knowing what actresses have gone through, but I just wish the movie itself was a little stronger to put some oomph behind it. There's good messages, but it gets drowned out by the bog-standard Tubi level storytelling and aesthetics. There's at least enough weirdness here worth seeing, such as a guy eating ice cream with his asshole out pointing towards the camera while him and his wife watch Babbette Bombshell on tv eating donuts by a dumpster while whimsical music plays. That's something you don't get to see often, or even a sentence you get to write much. Also makes me miss the days when the likes of Tiffany Shepis, or even Debbie herself, were in 30 movies a year. It was comforting."
