Neon, sleazy, apocalyptic, and way more fun than I expected 😁
"Revealer hooked me almost immediately with the setup — a stripper and a religious protester trapped together in a peep-show booth while the apocalypse starts outside. It sounds ridiculous, but the two leads have enough personality and chemistry to actually make the movie work beyond the gimmick. I really dig the exaggerated ’80s Chicago look too. The neon lighting, synth-heavy atmosphere, creature effects, and claustrophobic setting give it this fun mix of exploitation, supernatural horror, and end-of-the-world chaos. It’s small-scale, but that honestly helps because the movie stays focused on the characters instead of trying to fake some giant-budget apocalypse. The Blu-ray is loaded too — multiple commentaries, a 37-minute making-of, video essay, VFX material, gag reel, booklet, and the full dance sequence. The Trevor Henderson limited slipcover looks killer and was limited to only 1,000 copies, so I’m glad I grabbed this version. Weird, colorful, funny, and just sleazy enough. Easy 5/5 for me. 😁"
