Reviews

Sleazy NY Indie Fun

"Fantastic performances, especially Julia Fox, in a delightfully perverted and sleazy NY indie. Super funny, looks fantastic, and the packaging on the release is great."

Great Release

"I thoroughly enjoyed this release and I'm so glad to have it in my collection. Great picture and audio quality. I did miss out on the slipcover for this one but I'm happy I got a copy of the film before it sold out."

Scott C. (5/5)

This is Julia Fox's movie all the way.

"PVT Chat is in interesting movie definitely made for the pandemic era which revolves around a hot shot bullshit artist named Jack who gets lucky with online card games and has an addiction to massage parlors and online sex. One night he meets Scarlet (Julia Fox, Uncut Gems), a sexual tease he meets online and soon Jack starts to have a fixation on her. They talk online for hours about their personal lives except Jack is lying about his after telling her that he was a tech developer and had lots of money. Scarlet has a few secrets of her own as she has a boyfriend who stole her money to watch her perform sex acts online as she tries to get her art career going as her boyfriend is trying to develop his career in theater by having a show that happens to be based on Scarlet's personal sex life. Soon Scarlet meets Jack in real life and soon takes him for all his money which was his friends money he was supposed to gamble for college. Jack is outraged and meets Scarlet since she feels something for him. The film ends somewhat abruptly but it is well made on a low budget using authentic Brooklyn locations and looks great for an indie film. Julia Fox who we saw in the excellent Uncut Gems playing one of Adam Sandler's mistresses is great here and does a fine job playing a seductress who's desperate to escape her real world with her boyfriend who is exploiting her and Jack who has grown to love her in his own way as she starts to feel alot for him too indirectly. This is a nice blu ray with some really solid features and excellent cover art. This is an interesting and unique film worth seeing as kind of like a breakout role for Fox, who really does have "it"."
