I liked the restraint more than the more essayistic detours, and the final stretch, as the film pulls away from its characters and lets the city itself take over, is genuinely chilling. Effective, but I’m not sure all of it landed for me.

The film is an incredible examination of late stage capitalism, not looking at through a larger lens but through a smaller, much more personal one. It's funny and depressing, yet has this sort of looping effect of the same concept over and over, as if we are never going to learn our lesson.
Radu Jude heads unite.

The way this movie captures the horror of the world right now. . . nobody is making movies like Jude

Never heard of this one but since it's a Radu Jude movie I had to get it as a blind buy. Turns out it was a fantastic satirical comedy!
