Coming-of-Age Angst and Awkwardness in Suburban Life

"Dogleg is a sharp, character-driven coming-of-age drama that captures the awkwardness, humor, and tension of adolescence. The story follows a young protagonist navigating social hierarchies, friendships, and first experiences, balancing comedic missteps with moments of emotional resonance. Performances feel authentic and relatable, highlighting the mix of insecurity and curiosity that defines the teen experience. The film’s pacing and style embrace realism, with naturalistic dialogue and grounded scenarios that enhance the immersive quality. Dogleg succeeds as a bittersweet and sometimes funny exploration of youth, identity, and the messy process of growing up."

                Dogleg

"I’ve seen people love the movie and seen people hate the movie, I am in the middle. The central/main story is well done, but some of the rest is pretty scattered and doesn’t always make sense/add anything to the rest. Interesting shorts in the bonus content."

                Justin S. (3/5)

                Meta meta

"Good film. Fun and shows the creative process in a meta way. A little jarring and interesting choices for plot and ending. Recommend"

                Idiosyncratic comedy

"A really unique comedy release with these sort of off-kilter characters and vignettes. A bright spot."
