The American Genre Film Archive (AGFA) represents the world's largest theatrical catalog of exploitation cinema. Their home video line presents a diverse selection of movies, ranging from new preservations of classics from the vast library of Something Weird to the wildest in shot-on-video (SOV) titles. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

FINAL FLESH is unlike anything you’ve ever seen—on Earth or other places. In the early 2000s, Vernon Chatman (co-founder of the PFFR art collective, co-creator of WONDER SHOWZEN and XAVIER: RENEGADE ANGEL, and producer of SOUTH PARK) wrote a four-part screenplay about a family who lives adjacent to the Ground Zero of a thermonuclear disaster. Instead of sharing the finished script with Hollywood, Chatman sent each part to four different companies that specialize in custom adult fetish videos. And FINAL FLESH was born. Like the custom song poem craze of the 1970s, this metaphysical brain-stabber is an outsider miracle of Biblical proportions. Filled with nudity, brilliant sight gags, rubber monster masks, inventive toilet humor, and no sex, this is a surrealist spectacle of the highest order.

Reviews

Pure lunacy

"Insanity. Super fun, but simultaneously maybe the weirdest thing Vernon Chatman has ever made. Fun bonuses too!"

Tony H. (4/5)

Great weird movie

"I'm a huge fan of PFFR's work for adult swim and I bought this after not being able to find it online, do not regret it at all"

Matthew P. (5/5)

Like nothing else I've seen

"Having a Greg Turkington intro is a good sign a movie is going to be great."

Dylan B. (4/5)

Final flesh is insane

"Great example of true outsider art. Worth checking out for those interested."

Fred R. (5/5)

Weirdness cranked to 11

"Insane release. I liked it but it will push boundaries for others. Hard to recommend but if you click with it you'll love it"

Joshua N. (4/5)

Final Flesh! End Times!

"This is the type of art project that I can’t get enough of. The insanity of the whole thing is just genius. There’s a certain anxiety feel to it that needs to be experienced. It’s a great watch for groups and further proof we live in end times. Makes me proud to be a video nerd. AGFA with another quality release."

Reeves M. (5/5)

nice idea but lacks something

"The idea (get differnet shoot on demand fetish companies to make bits of a single film) is brilliant. The execution is… not. The crapness of the actual material is part of the joke but it never finds consistency or anything to pull it together so it doesn’t become more than the initial joke."

RICHARD L. (2/5)

Brilliantly deranged conceptual comedy

"A totally unique experiment: absurd, uncomfortable, and often hilarious. It won’t be for everyone, but if you like strange, boundary-pushing comedy, this is a must-see. The presentation is solid and the release does a good job contextualizing the project."

Thomas L. (4/5)

Weird but visually lacking

"Didn't need to own this"

Mitchell Y. (3/5)

Final flesh

"Not a great movie and it's one of the most bare bones agfa releases"

Gus T. (3/5)
