This listing is for the standard edition 3-disc 4k UHD/Blu-ray release. The limited edition slip box was limited to 12,000 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the packaging.

In the annals of 70s horror, there are many iconic films. There is only one FLESH FOR FRANKENSTEIN and this edition will allow you to experience it as you never have before and probably never dreamed you could.

This package contains the Flesh For Frankenstein three-disc set, including a 4K UHD (in HDR) edition of the film, and 2-BDs, one containing the NEVER BEFORE ON VIDEO original 3-D version of the film, as well as the Flat version, plus close to 2 hours of newly shot video interviews all housed in a deluxe hardshell case adorned with the classic artwork associated with this iconic film.

Deranged scientist, Baron von Frankenstein, with the help of his bizarre assistant, Otto, is determined to create a new master race, of which he will be the leader. To achieve his objective, he constructs two perfect ‘zombies’ from an assemblage of body parts, intending them to mate. Meanwhile, complications ensue as Nicholas, a farm hand, begins an affair with the Baron’s sexually frustrated wife all while searching for his missing friend Sacha, whose head and brain have been used for Frankenstein’s male "zombie"!

A delectably gory and cynical social satire from acclaimed filmmaker Paul Morrissey (Mixed Blood), FLESH FOR FRANKENSTEIN is among the most original and transgressive interpretations of Mary Shelley’s classic novel. With an exceptional cast, led by Udo Kier (Suspiria, Mark of the Devil), in what might be his most iconic performance, Joe Dallesandro (Cry Baby), Monique van Vooren (Sugar Cookies), and Italian child star Nicoletta Elmi (Deep Red), and featuring a lush soundtrack by Claudio Gizzi (Blood for Dracula), FLESH FOR FRANKENSTEIN became an immediate midnight and cult movie sensation. Vinegar Syndrome proudly presents this true genre classic on 4K UHD for the first time, along with its never on home video original 3-D version, newly restored from its original negative!

directed by: Paul Morrissey

Reviews

It's alive! And in 3D!!!

"Easily the most definitive copy of Paul Morrissey’s gloriously depraved grossout epic. Udo Kier sloshing through organs with those iconic crazy eyes and Joe Dallesandro in various states of undress, looking big, handsome, and stupid. It really doesn't get any better than that. It took a while to sell out but that beautifully designed hardbox is OOP. No booklet but there are hours of extras to enjoy after viewing. The art department has done their expectedly brilliant job on the slipcovers and there's reversible artwork for each included. I should mention that the picture on the Blu-ray and UHD are impeccable. (Apparently there was a mastering error on the the first UHD so a replacement was included which I appreciate. ) I haven't yet had access to a 3D capable TV but from what hear, that presentation is a wild ride!"

❤️ Paul Morrissey

"So glad to finally own Flesh for Frankenstein! This is a great set, excellent packaging, transfer looks great. What can I say really? If you know, you know, don't hesitate to buy--VS always does a great job on their releases and they were accommodating when I needed to change the shipping address! If you're considering buying FFF, just do it."

Gorgeous, Gross, and Totally Alive

"Flesh for Frankenstein is exactly the kind of outrageous cult title that makes 4K feel worthwhile. The new presentation gives the colors, gore, and strange theatrical energy a lot more impact, while the 3D option makes the release feel especially complete. It is disgusting, funny, stylish, and somehow still elegant in its own warped way."

JIN L. (5/5)

Flesh for frankenstein

"Flesh for Frankenstein is a wildly stylish and provocative horror film that blends grotesque imagery with dark, ironic humor. Its striking visual design and deliberate exaggeration create a surreal, almost theatrical experience that stands apart from conventional genre fare. It remains a bold cult classic, admired for its audacity, artistry, and unforgettable transgressive edge."

This was a blast

"The limited edition box for this really elevates the already stunning presentation."

Patrick D. (5/5)

"Massively underrated, heart-on-its-sleeve, hard-in-the-paint, less-than-academic 70's hot take generator (no, that is not *any* of White Zombie's vinyl releases, and *yes* I am sure of that)"
