This feature documentary is an intimate portrait of two people who are deeply in love with the 80’s pop singer Tiffany.

Jeff Turner is a 50-year-old man from Santa Cruz, California with Asperger’s Syndrome. He has a very friendly and childlike spirit and can talk to anybody for hours on end but finds it difficult to maintain relationships and has never had a girlfriend. He has been attending Tiffany concerts since 1988 and describes her as his “best friend, mentor and protector.”

Kelly McCormick is a 35-year-old intersex person from Denver, Colorado who identifies as a lesbian. She loves running, watching action movies and doing impressions. She has also never been in a romantic relationship but says that she loves Tiffany “down to her bone marrow.”

Both Jeff and Kelly have been called “stalkers” by the media and other Tiffany fans but this film allows them to share their side of the story. Filmed over the course of six years, I Think We're Alone Now takes you deep into their lives, and shows the power of having something to believe in.

I Think We’re Alone Now

"There doesn't seem to be anyone around I think we're alone now The beating of our hearts is the only sound I Think We’re Alone Now is a haunting, uncomfortable documentary profiling two deeply obsessed Tiffany fans grappling with isolation and delusion. Disturbing yet oddly compelling."

One of my favorite blind buys

A 9 on the Cringe Meter

"This fascinating documentary is about two delusional stalkers (Jeff and Kelly) that are obsessed with a singer named Tiffany. Both subjects let us into their world and we see them attend various concerts and signings. . . and yes, we see them interact with Tiffany. The moment where a casual fan tries to express her love for Tiffany and is immediately steamrolled by Jeff is a classic. The guy can be a little scary, especially the closer he gets to Tiffany. What makes this documentary so interesting is that he feels like the least threatening of the two. I worried for Jeff and Kelly's well-being despite all the red flags, these are deeply troubled people. The disc has updates and they're grim, but are equally compelling. This edition is stacked with extras- easy recommend for doc fans. Plus the slipcover with the collage of news items is great. I will definitely rewatch this."

Martin W. (4/5)

Surprisingly touching

"The two subjects of this film are challenging people to empathize with, considering their relationships with Tiffany (and other celebrities), but by the end of its short run time, I just felt so sorry and sympathetic towards them. It's a really fascinating document of how certain people experience Fandom and celebrity. Highly recommended."

David R. (5/5)

I Can Relate. . .

"As a youngster I can remember watching TV and seeing Tiffany performing at all these malls and dreaming of her one day singing at a mall in my hometown. It never happened, but the crush lives on. Solid pick-up if you're in to docs."

Jeff W. (3/5)

Interesting and a bit scary doc

"I´ve bever heard of Tiffany before this release, the song for me was a single by Lene Lovich. Fascinating and scary how people get so obsessed. I guess it beats religion as the thing they worship actually exists. Thanks for the ride ETR"
