This listing is for the standard edition Blu-ray/DVD combo. The limited edition slipcover (designed by Earl Kessler Jr.) was limited to 1,500 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the slipcover.

David and Lynn have just lost their father. Now orphaned, the youngsters are sent to live with their grandparents in a beautiful victorian mansion. But no sooner than boarding the coach bus scheduled to take them to their new home do strange things start to occur, initially in the form of a mysterious woman who seems to appear and disappear in the blink of an eye. It's not long, however, before murdered bodies are found in the area and, to make matters worse, David becomes increasingly fearful that his doting grandparents might be involved in the killings.

Mixing the visual flair of a gothic horror film with a murder thriller, Peter Rader's (Waterworld) directorial debut, GRANDMOTHER'S HOUSE stars Eric Foster (Cry Wilderness), Kim Valentine (Dot Com for Murder), Ida Lee (Vegas in Space), Len Lesser (Seinfeld) and Brinke Stevens (Nightmare Sisters). Written and photographed by acclaimed steadicam operator Peter Jensen and produced by Nico Mastorakis (Island of Death), GRANDMOTHER'S HOUSE is a late period exploitation-horror classic that comes to Blu-ray for the first time, newly restored in 4k from its original camera negative.

What the hell Uncle Leo???

"Synopsis: After the death of their father David and Lynn find themselves orphaned and need to go live at their grandfather and GRANDMOTHER'S HOUSE. Something is off with them and when they find out their mother, whom they previously thought was dead, has escaped a mental institution they find themselves in danger. They just aren't sure from who yet. Review: This does an okay job of making it seem like things are happening but in reality, it only gets good in the last 15 minutes or so. Len Lesser is excellent though and the movie should be watched for his creepy performance alone. Carnage Count 2/5 Sleaze Score 2/5"

This was a pretty fun

"This was a pretty fun mystery flick disguised as a horror movie. Not much in the way of horror. Mysterious goings on and happenings that lead to a big finale. Pretty predictable, but entertaining throughout. Transfer looks very nice as expected. Big props to VS for cleaning up all these forgotten gems."

Jesse B. (4/5)

Jace F. (5/5)

A fun horror film

"I really enjoyed this film but was perplexed by the super rushed ending. I wish there was a longer version or at least an explanation on the extras or online. Sadly I missed the limited edition slip cover."

Jon B. (4/5)

Very Suspenseful Thriller from the Writer of Waterworld

"A really fun mystery! Eric Foster from the classic VS movie Cry Wilderness and the beautiful Kim Valentine are the very efficient leads. Len Lesser from Seinfeld is the menacing grandfather and Brinke Stevens (Nightmare Sisters) is perfect as the crazy mother. Director Peter Rader and cinematographer and Steadicam operator Peter Jensen made a great picture!"

Pedro G. (5/5)

Awesome movie

"Great movie, an all-time favourite of mine, very happy to get it on blu-ray with a super transfer!"
