James Dalton is a tough-as-nails bouncer with a reputation for using any and all force necessary to "keep the peace." Meanwhile, Frank Tilghman, a country businessman, is having trouble maintaining control over the violent patrons and crooked staff at his newly acquired club, the Double Deuce. Upon learning of Dalton's take-no-prisoners attitude toward security, he makes a proposal too good for Dalton to refuse; summoning him from The Big Apple to Jasper, MO and handing him the reins to the bar, on the promise that he clean the place up. But no sooner than his first few days in charge does he wind up stabbed and in the hospital. With the knowledge that he's up against a gang of thugs who play even dirtier than he does, Dalton throws caution to the wind and prepares for a fight that will inevitably send someone six feet under...

There was a house on the road
"Within which dudes fought over stuff. And then the ultimate dude arrived and teamed up with the best supporting dude, and they did cool dude stuff together. Ok, I haven't actually seen the movie yet but glad I waited until this release came out. Not crazy about the big outer box, but really dig the slip inside."

Polar bear fell on me.
"A childhood favorite. Love the new outer box and the book and slipcover look great as well. Picture detail is awesome and it is fun to see Swayze in this quality. Also this flick features one of my favorite action movie lines of all time (well two of them actually but one of them is a little risqué)."
— Robert A. (5/5)
Excellent transfer
"I won't waste time talking about the film itself, as it is pretty well-known. Instead, I would like to say that this edition is fantastic. An excellent transfer into 4K, and it is the best I have ever seen this movie look! Packaging was great too, and the included book was a nice addition. Overall, a very superb job and a must-own for your collection."
— Christopher K. (5/5)
Exceptional Release
"Great movie with a fantastic transfer and so many special features! This is the perfect package for this film."

Very much worth the upgrade!
"The Shout BD was very good, but this upgrade to UHD from VS is well worth it. Some say the color timing is too hot, but I thought it looked great. Great collectible presentation with the new hard case and slipcover. Nice booklet, too. Of course, the Jeff Healey music sounded great as well."
— Andrew W. (5/5)
Glad I caught the reissue!
"I missed out on this the first time, so I'm super glad Vinegar Syndrome reissued it after it sold out. The movie itself is a total 80s action masterpiece, and the 4K transfer looks absolutely incredible. Definitely happy to finally have this version on my shelf."
— Simon L. (5/5)
Classic!
"There are many versions of this film readily available for home release, but the VS version has the most bonus features and the best artwork."
— Robert W. (5/5)
5 of Sam Elliot's pubes out of 5
"My experience with this movie before last year is Ron White's offhanded comment in his Tater Salad bit, and vaguely knowing my mom liked it. Then I watched it last year and knew I needed to get the nicest version I could find. Which was the out of print VinSyn edition. Less than two months later, I'm following my first VinSyn sale, and this releases, and I snatched it up so fast. It's a gorgeous edition befitting of a really damn good movie. Can't wait to dig more into the special features."
— Lucas (5/5)
Sister Kissing Fun
"Essential VS. Sad this one is out of print because it is the best the film has ever looked!"
— Jesse M. (5/5)
A classic beat em up.
"Great movie. Swayze is wonderful. There's not much to say is there? The restoration looks great, the film is great. The packaging leaves something to be desired though, its pretty bland and most of the artwork uses the classic Swayze pose with his arms crossed. I do like the bottle with his faces silhouette though."
