KILLERS ON WHEELS is part of our Vinegar Syndrome Archive collection, celebrating forgotten cinematic oddities from the video store era. This collection was inspired by our own brick & mortar video stores, with locations in Bridgeport, CT, Denver, CO, Toronto, ON, and Pittsburgh, PA.
Unique to this line, each numbered limited edition release will come fitted in a specially designed, bottom loading VHS inspired slipcase, while also including a double-sided poster.
These releases will ONLY be available on our website and at participating indie retailers. Absolutely no major retailers will be stocking them. This spot gloss slipcase edition (designed by Haunt Love) is strictly limited to 5,000 units and includes a 40-page perfect bound book. This release may (but probably not) be followed by a standard edition in the future.

A weekend pleasure trip to an isolated island off Hong Kong turns into hell on wheels (and sand) when a wild, unruly motorcycle gang winds up on the same ferry as Carrie and her guests Mei-Chuan and Chien-Chung. Landing on the island, where Carrie's boyfriend Sze Wei welcomes them to his father's lush waterfront villa, the bikers then commence to party, carouse, and race their Yamahas on the beach. Once a few of them hassle Carrie, and Sze Wei confronts them with a harpoon gun, inevitable tensions start to boil. With any police a day or so away, vandalism and cruel pranks soon turn into violent retribution, and suddenly, far worse. Who'll remain alive when all the dust settles?
It took 1970s Shaw ingenuity to update the delinquent biker movie template into a brutal genre hybrid reinforced with a stiff dose of Straw Dogs, and director Chih-Hung Kuei (Corpse Mania, The Boxer's Omen) was just the man for the job. Boasting a broad array of action stunts, casual sleaze, and a steadily escalating level of wanton destruction, this shocker boasts a screenplay by the prolific On Szeto (Killer Constable), and stars Yun Ling (Death Duel), Terry Liu (The Killer Snakes), and Danny Lee (City on Fire). "Awesome box and artwork as usual comes with a nice book as well. These Shaw sploitations are cool and I hope they continue. Starts off kinda slow but picks up steam as it goes on very cool movie overall. Restoration is ok there are some scenes that were kind of spotty but sound was great though."
"I was always disappointed that Killers on Wheels never got a DVD release, so imagine by shock and delight when VS announced this release. The transfer is a little patchy due to water damage on the elements, but nevertheless, if you know how rare this film is, it's just great to get it looking as good as it does.
