FORTRESS OF AMERIKKKA is part of our Vinegar Syndrome Archive collection, celebrating forgotten cinematic oddities from the video store era. This collection was inspired by our own brick & mortar video store, The Archive in Bridgeport, CT.

Unique to this line, each hand numbered limited edition release will come fitted in a specially designed, bottom loading VHS inspired slipcase, while also including a double-sided poster.

These releases will ONLY be available on our website and at participating indie retailers. Absolutely no major retailers will be stocking them. This slipcase edition is strictly limited to 5,000 units and may (but probably not) be followed by a standard edition in the future.

---

Hidden deep in the forest next to sleepy Troma City, a band of ruthless mercenaries, the ‘Fortress of Amerikkka,’ have set up camp, practicing their violent tactics of war in preparation for an impending revolution. When the violence begins to take the lives of the townsfolk, John Whitecloud, a tough half-Indian with a bad reputation decides to take matters into his own hands and protect his community. But facing as much animosity from the townspeople as from the mercenaries themselves, John quickly learns that he’ll be fighting two battles.

One of the gorier action films to be produced during Troma’s golden age, Eric Louzil’s (Class of Nuke ‘em High 3) FORTRESS OF AMERIKKKA offers up a non-stop barrage of brutality, beheadings, impalings, stabbings, and a copious amount of sex and nudity. A long time casualty of dark and muddy VHS tapes, some containing the heavily censored R-rated version, Vinegar Syndrome Archive is proud to give FORTRESS OF AMERIKKKA the Blu-ray release it deserves, and has newly restored it from its original 35mm negative.

Fortress of Amerikkka

"Not the best, but fun at times."

USA USA USA

"The art and slipcover are top notch as always. The film itself was moderately entertaining. Lacks any of the fun, trashy Troma style, if thats what youre looking for."

Matt D. (4/5)

C-grade Cannon Cornucopia of aCtion!

"It's always a special feeling seeing someone turn up in an American movie that I know especially from those late '80s Italian-in-America trash films (is it an up- or downgrade?). If you want action and nudity, you get it here! And don't take it too seriously, please! For some reason, Troma used to release their own films in the most crap way possible but when VS came along, the ante was upped, way up there!"

Tim V. (4/5)

Thank you VSA, you are my best friend!

"I really do love the VS archive series, as I get to see strange oddities like this where I otherwise wouldn't have seen. Can't wait to see Dead Boyz Can't Fly when it releases!"

Zakaria S. (5/5)

Amerikkka f$&k yeah!

"Hard to compare this to any other movies out there; I mean, we’re talking Troma so that’s almost base level expected. This was a fun ride, and I absolutely enjoyed the commentary delivered in an ever-so-Tromatic fashion. A gawdy and ballsy take on military culture in America, it keeps the attention. I feel the writing is certainly a bit weaker than other Troma releases, but still worth owning. Just ridiculously over the top as you can always expect from them. A+ quality from VS as expected in terms of release and packaging."

Savannah T. (3/5)

Fortress of Amerikka

"Fortress of Amerikkka is a wild, over-the-top action film packed with explosive mayhem and unapologetic B-movie energy. Its mix of sleaze, satire, and violent patriotism makes it a uniquely chaotic entry in the Troma catalog. Perfect for fans of gritty low-budget insanity with a rebellious streak."

Jeffrey W. (5/5)

Amerikkka!

"This is way better than you might think. Love the artwork too."

Alex C. (5/5)

Landon S. (5/5)

Troma Eviscerates Fascism. . . Again!

"Billed as a "thriller", but full of gory and delightfully offensive Troma insanity, this release is everything we expect from Vinegar Syndrome. High quality transfer, bonus features, handsome slipcover, and pure low-budget lunacy!"
