Details

This listing is for the standard edition Blu-ray release. The limited edition slipcover was limited to 1,000 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the slipcover.

VHSHITFEST has been uncovering and releasing movies on video for over a decade, across DVD and VHS, and is now moving into blu-ray, with the same goal to showcase the most unique, crazy, and obscure movies that they've discovered through years of collecting VHS, allowing even more people to actually be able to experience these nearly lost gems in the best versions possible.

The Cornshukker is a mythical creature who has lived simply and peacefully with Nature. But now he is besieged by urban sprawl. With nowhere else to go, he is forced to deal with varmints and outlandishly- odd townsfolk. As his food supply diminishes,  The Cornshukker is confronted by the bigoted Old Man Thomas. In an act of desperation, The Cornshukker is forced to do the unthinkable. His existence is in peril, and the mysterious world he inhabits could be destroyed. Only Nature and the townsfolk will decide his fate.

    Reviews

    Cornshocker

"Well worth picking up this low budget classic. Nice package with interviews and commentary on the extras. Decent pickup."

    Ben C. (3/5)

    Misunderstood monster

"This initially reminded me of a big studio 90s film with the main character as pale as the cornshukker. The latter is a Frankenstein like story that comes with a nifty artwork package and a handful of extras, like some fun interviews."

    Kresh R. (3/5)

    The cornshukker

"Weird oddball one worth the watch"

    Andrew D. (5/5)

    Great movie

"Experimental movie, rather trippy but fun."

    Sean T. (3/5)

    Cornshukker shucks!

"No budget oddity worth owning "I know""

    Max H. (5/5)

Feels like a weirdly positive farmland nightmare

"One of my favorite recent independent cinema discoveries! It's filled with cool slightly nightmarish farm imagery accompanied by awesomely weird country music. The cornshukker himself is one of the all time greatest characters in cinema."

    Teun H. (5/5)

A good movie for someone else.

"Unfortunately I just don't like poop jokes."

    Avery E. (3/5)
