Reviews

Awesome first film from an amazing young director

"I’ve seen this movie many times but hadn’t bought it. With the director becoming a serious star I was interested in the extras especially the interviews. I think the reverse artwork looks better, just wish I had the slip"

Ian P. (5/5)

Very thought provoking.

"I recently watched "I Saw the TV Glow" by the same filmmaker and I enjoyed it quite a bit, so I figured I should give this one a chance too. Unfortunately, it didn't hit me in quite the same way, but it was still very good for a debut feature made on what was obviously an extremely limited budget. My biggest problem with it was that it felt somewhat meandering and unfocused at times, but it did maintain a solid overall narrative. It definitely made some strong points about our internet-obsessed society with the countless rabbit holes we fall down thanks to the seemingly endless amount of "stuff" that our glorious internet has to lure us in with. Not to mention the effect this can have on our personal relationships and our mental health. I haven't checked out the commentary or extras on this one yet, but I'm looking forward to finding out more about how this movie came together and I'm also looking forward to what Jane Schoenbrun has in store for us in the future."

Chris L. (5/5)

Excellent movie

"Not stereotypical "boo!" horror, but it's a masterclass in emotional terror"

John N. (5/5)

A++

"Always looking forward to Jane's new films after the surprising joy of watching this one."

John-Joseph J. (5/5)

Glad to add this one to my collection alongside ISTTG

"Originally watched this on streaming, so seeing VS had released a bluray was a pleasant surprise. Deeply unique and sad film that’ll stick with you. Also, probably one of the better depictions of how the internet can affect people. Glad I could add this release to my collection. Wish I hadn’t missed out on the slipcover, but just glad to have it. If you’re on the fence grab it now before it goes out of print! No one is doing it quite like Jane Schoenbrun. Looking forward to seeing what they do next!"

Charlie D. (5/5)

Let’s All Go!

"The performances in this truly unsettling flick are compelling and will keep you on the edge all the way through it. It’s remarkable how much mileage you can get from a face just staring at you. It’s a lot. This was a deeply moving film, and colorful too. It looks incredibly good for its budget."

Bryan K. (5/5)

Jane Schoenbrun rocks

"I saw, and loved, I Saw the TV Glow and it was a no brainer I needed this as well"
