"Sometimes, I find a slow, moody piece like this immensely satisfying. It's not a dozen action bits and muggy posturing; just hurt people simmering until it's time to do something about it. As long as the characters are compelling and the story has solid hooks, the payoff is worth it, even more so when Dale Dickey provides an unshakeable core to the whole thing."
