This listing is for the standard edition Blu-ray. The limited edition slipcover (designed by Dani Manning) was limited to 6,000 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the slipcover.
Giorgio Pisani, a journalist, has just returned from an international assignment only to discover that, in his absence, his wife has died during childbirth. However, a seemingly unavoidable tragedy takes an unexpectedly sinister turn when Lydia Franzi, his wife's doctor, reveals that Giorgio is sterile and therefore couldn't have fathered his wife's child. Soon after learning this terrible news, a mysterious, black-clad killer begins stalking the city, viciously murdering pregnant women who were in the same maternity clinic as Giorgio's deceased wife. Could Giorgio, in a fit of guilt-ridden madness, be responsible for these horrendous crimes, or is he an unwitting participant in the sinister plan of an even more wicked culprit?
An exceptionally mean-spirited giallo made at the height of the genre’s golden age, Stelvio Massi’s (Arabella Black Angel) FIVE WOMEN FOR THE KILLER stars British character actor Francis Matthews (The Revenge of Frankenstein) alongside Pascale Rivault (The Beast) and Eurosleaze stalwart, Howard Ross (The New York Ripper). Barely seen outside of its native Italy, Vinegar Syndrome proudly presents the world Blu-ray debut of this equally nasty, shocking, and highly stylized whodunit, newly restored in 4K from rare archival film elements of the never-on-video original theatrical cut, and featuring a host of new and exclusive interviews.

A Sleazy Deep Cut Giallo
"A gritty and stylish film that mixes murder with an eerie jazz score and a dark, unsettling atmosphere. Though the plot is simple and unevenly paced, giallo fans will still appreciate it."

Gialli of the Unforgotten Variety
"Five Women for the Killer is an interesting choice to receive a solo release. This one could’ve easily been included in Forgotten Gialli 4 with Arabella Black Angel as a double sleaze whammy from Stelvio Massi. Nonetheless, it had its solo release with great artwork to boot. This one checks the box for all your standard requests for a giallo. Sleaze, trippy camera work, gore, and mystery, it’s all there. Haven’t checked the bonus features out yet but happy to see they have a bunch included on this release!"

Another interesting Italian Giallo
"Solid Giallo that is worth the time and purchase. Good slip art and extras. Awesome work VS did. A little different for a giallo which is a good thing."
— Alexander U. (5/5)
Gorgeous restoration, complete version well worth a watch
"Good (not great) giallo, the work VinSyn did with restoration and presenting a never before on video complete version looks immaculate. The soundtrack/score is a lot of fun, as is the (very) gratuitous full-frontal nudity. Special Features interviews are very interesting, with a “gore inserts” segment that is fascinating."

A prime slice of sleaze
"The 60's produced gialli that were higher on plot and glamorous allure, the beginning of the 70's upped the style but from then on, the grue and filth was put into overdrive. This might not exactly be as crass as something like Giallo In Venice but it's reaching there, with a color palette that makes one almost go for a depression! Also, private parts of women being targetted is not exactly something that reeks of class! Director Massi was more known for his crime films but he acquits himself nicely here. Full marks also for the slipcover artwork and design and finally providing this film with the full Scope cinematography (watching this in pan&scan seems like an atrocity equal to the fate of the victims here)."
