A group of six scientists have assembled to test the apparent abundance of supernatural goings-on at the secluded Headstone Manor. No sooner have they set up all of their ghost-catching gadgetry than the hauntings begin: from randy spirits to unexplained manifestations, all the signs of the afterlife incarnate are present. But when members of their party start winding up deceased, it becomes clear that these undead souls aren’t very friendly, and all the while the foggy grounds of the manor are being traversed by another mysterious figure...

A riotous British send-up of the fad of paranormal investigation and haunted house films, Ray Cameron’s BLOODBATH AT THE HOUSE OF DEATH mixes supernatural thrills with a hearty sense of risqué humor. Boasting the only feature film performance from famed British comedian Kenny Everett and co-starring the legendary Vincent Price (Theatre of Blood), along with Pamela Stephenson (Superman III), Gareth Hunt (TV's Doctor Who), and John Fortune (Match Point), Vinegar Syndrome brings this delightfully spooky horror-comedy to Blu-ray, newly restored in 4K from its 35mm camera negative.

Reviews

I tend to grab anything

"I tend to grab anything that stars Vincent Price, and this is definitely one of the odder ones from his filmography. I love films where a group of random people end up holed up tougher in a gothic mansion and this film delivers exactly that with cults and other supernatural going ons. Its horror comedy and I’ll admit, not all the comedy works, but I had fun with it and definitely happy to add it to my collection. The disc isn’t stacked but there are a fair amount of extras, and the artwork is also pretty good."

Kyle C. (3/5)

great gunk!

"This film first lodged into my field of attention when a late friend talked about it. He was on the 'special' side & worshipped Vincent Price. And this title sounds like a fever dream. But lo, it is real! This release looks better than it probably should have, but thank the gods for it. The '80s lighting/sets/mood comes across perfectly, no matter how silly this film is. Happy to own this release."

Fairly decent laughs

"A decent Horror spoof that made me laugh enough times to enjoy it. Some might find this movie not so funny, but it depends of your sense of humor. Its overall classic British styled humor. Worth a watch before buying."

Allan R. (4/5)

Bloodbath at the House of Death

"A silly take on the old dark house trope that happens to have one of the leading men from era of the old dark house movies being everywhere. Vincent is great in this (when isn't he?) the jokes almost all land and it looks great. Glad I bought this one."
