In 1963, a group of college cheerleading students were brutally slain by a mysterious killer, resulting in the closure of the school they attended. Now, former student and professional cheerleader, Bambi, has decided to re-open the institution. As new students arrive, it’s not long before the murderer makes his presence known and the bloody hi-jinx resume. Even worse, the only hope of unmasking the culprit falls upon an overworked Canadian Mountie.

A wildly bizarre horror film parody from Alfred Sole (Alice Sweet Alice), PANDEMONIUM features an astonishing cast, including Carol Kane (When a Stranger Calls), Judge Reinhold (Fast Times at Ridgemont High), Phil Hartman (TV’s Saturday Night Live) Tom Smothers (TV’s The Smothers Brothers), Paul Reubens (TV’s Pee-Wee’s Playhouse), and Tab Hunter (Lust in the Dust)! Jam packed with bizarre humor and even stranger death sequences, Vinegar Syndrome brings this never-on-disc, early 1980s cult favorite to Blu-ray in a brand new 2K restoration!

Reviews

Star studded cast!

"There was a lot of horror movie parodies in the early 80s and this is one of the better ones. Manages to be actually funny. I rematch it a lot"

Stephen J. (5/5)

Close up

"Not every gag lands, but the toothpaste one really got me. It's fun to watch just for all the cameos!"

Ed G. (4/5)

You'll DIE laughing!

"I was pleasently surprised by this release. I was mainly drawn to it due to the involvement of Phil Hartman and Paul Reubens. its a comedy horror that I feel balances its humour quite well with a few scares and manages to look rather stylish while doing so! Picture quality is rock solid, for my money, I think I'd still rather watch something like 'Wacko' but this absolutely is pointing in the right direction!"

Daniel D. (4/5)

Pandemonium is a silly comedy(a

"Pandemonium is a silly comedy(a genre I love) with a lot of actors (Judge Reinhold, Paul Reubens, Carol Kane, Tom Smothers, Phil Hartman) I really like, by a director whose only other movie I have seen (Alice Sweet Alice) is, to me, a minor classic. This is not a good movie. I love 80s horror comedies, but this is just bad. The little enjoyment I got was from seeing some of my favorite comedians in younger days. As usual, VS has done a commendable job with transferring this film in HD. It looks great."

Jason M. (3/5)

Genuinely hilarious

"Very funny movie that reminds me of Airplane and the like. Weird follow up to Alfred sole’s Alice Sweet Alice."

Tyler B. (5/5)

Horror parody

"Horror parody from the director of Alice Sweet Alice. It’s a little slow but definitely worth owning for 1980’s horror fans."

Dakota G. (5/5)

Pan-ned by most

"Comedy horror is harder than just comedy, its a hard mix to juggle. The cast on this is spectacular, but the movie is a horror spoof with only a vague idea of how or what to spoof. Peewee, Smothers Brother and a paper mache horse are highlights, but the story stalls most of its run time with only a few moments of actual horrorness. Extras are thin."

Kevin G. (3/5)

Pandemonium with Judge and Lasers

"Another VS release that looks excellent—great transfer and great sound. The movie itself is pretty hilarious. It’s dated humor, but if you are into early 80s style one liners (there’s a great one about Nancy Regan) you’ll love it. Great service as always from Vinegar Syndrome!"

David M. (5/5)

Pandemonium

"This one has a great cast, some of the humor was a miss for me. Picture quality is great."

Joshua C. (3/5)

Love Sole!

"Kind of crazy he also did Alice Sweet Alice."
