In a post-nuclear holocaust wasteland, Sam Hell ("Rowdy" Roddy Piper) is like most other survivors; a nomadic scavenger roaming the bombed out remnants of the world for food and survival gear. But Sam is also harboring a major secret that even he isn't aware of: he's the last fertile man on Earth. As unexpected pregnancies are discovered, the remnants of the government decide to capture him and, with the aid of scientist Spangle, fit him with a secure chastity belt to ensure his virility is used only when needed. After learning of a group of supposed virgins who are being held captive by frog-mutant savages, Sam is sent on a rescue mission to free the women and then, of course, impregnate them. Is he up for the job? You bet...

An 'only in the 80s' hybrid of post apocalyptic sci-fi weirdness, cynical humor, and horror touches, director Donald G. Jackson's HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN is every bit as crazy as its title implies. Co-starring Sandahl Bergman (Conan the Barbarian), Rory Calhoun (Angel), and featuring a supporting performance from Nicholas Worth (Don't Answer the Phone), Vinegar Syndrome presents HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN on Blu-ray in North America for the first time, in a brand new, 4k restoration.

Hell Comes to Cheesetown

"This classic apocalyptic science fiction action cheese fest is a great film for lazy movie nights where popcorn and fun are key. The transfer is as beautiful as can be expected, the presentation is fun, and everything hits just right when you're not looking for serious or provoked thoughts. Streaming this title just no longer felt right after finding several nights that it played and uplifted my mood, so now it's mine and it should be yours, too!"

What in the Sam Hell???

"Synopsis: In a post apocalyptic future where the majority of the earths population is dead and the rest are mostly sterile it's up to Cocksman extraordinaire Sam Hell to save the world. Sam has his vast criminal record expunged and reluctantly becomes a provisional government employee. His first mission is to travel with the sexy doctor Spangle and sexy soldier Centinella to Frogtown, a town inhabited by giant mutant frogs, to rescue and impregnate a group of fertile women that are being held captive by the evil Commander Toty. Review: The frogs look amazing and the whole story is so ridiculous it seems like an adult film script had all the hardcore stuff cut out and made into a legitimate film. Hell Comes to Frogtown is a lot of fun that takes itself seriously enough to not be cheesy and be an above average action flick with a crazy story and rich background. It really made me want to see more of Frogtown and it's various inhabitants. Carnage Count 2/5 Sleaze Score 2/5"

One Of My Favorite Films Given The Peerless VS Treatment!

"This wonderful flick is a big slice of 80's nostalgia! The cast is terrific with the one and only Rowdy Roddy Piper leading the way! This movie is very funny and entertaining throughout! The extras are also really cool! The peerless VS restoration process was on full display with stellar sound and picture! Thank you, VS, for continuing to lovingly restore and release so many wonderful films from every conceivable genre! You are keeping physical media alive in this streaming world we now live in! The image is clean and stable, bringing out the quirky production design and Roddy Piper’s unforgettable presence. Colors are vibrant, and the transfer preserves the film’s gritty, low-budget charm. Audio is clear and solid, letting the action and humor shine. Bonus features offer great insight into this offbeat cult favorite. A must-have for fans of ’80s sci-fi and cult cinema."

Rowdy Roddy Forever

"During the recent OOP sale I made my move and picked up this classic. Wish I could’ve gotten a slipcase but oh well. If this ever goes back into print—GET IT. Absolutely awesome features, great transfer, cool interviews. It’s a must have."

Reeves M. (5/5)

Fun little movie with practical effects

"Hell Comes to Frogtown is a pun. Sam Hell is one of the few fertile males in a matriarchy that rose after the apocalypse. He must rescue a group of female humans from frog-humanoids. Let the science-fiction/ comedy begin. The movie is a riot with several twists and terrific prosthetic frog effects."

Raymond T. (4/5)
