This special limited edition embossed slipcover (designed by Earl Kess) is limited to 5,000 units and is only available here at VinegarSyndrome.com!

At an exclusive all-girls college, a group of chronically misbehaving students are "rewarded" for their bad behavior by being assigned with the task of cleaning a magnificent old mansion (with a deadly past) in preparation for its grand re-opening by the school. But when the girls discover - and use - a dusty old Ouija board, they accidentally revive a terrifying evil spirit, which begins dispatching them by cleaver, hook, car, and more. Can they put an end to the carnage before none are left alive?

Independently produced in Philadelphia by first time director John P. Finegan (Blades) under the title The Portrait, its post production was undertaken by Troma, which immediately transformed the film into a late period grindhouse classic, re-christening it GIRLS SCHOOL SCREAMERS. With its effective mix of haunted house horror and gruesome, slasher structured kills, Vinegar Syndrome is delighted to offer GIRLS SCHOOL SCREAMERS on Blu-ray, for the first time, freshly restored from its original negative and jam packed with extras.

Okay movie but great release.

"It's a bit slow at times, but does features some gore and monster moments. Great video quality and special features"

You’ll be screaming for Girls School Screamers

"The embossed slipcover adds a nice touch to the film’s release. The fine folks at Vinegar Syndrome have done a great job on the restoration of the movie. And the songs contained therein have never sounded better. So what are you waiting for? Add this fright flick to your collection now."

Mark H. (5/5)

An underseen trash gem

"Vinegar Syndrome, a preservation society after my own heart, has paid such loving attention to the "troubled production" Frankenmovie that it's practically become its own subgenre. And as Marie Kondo once said, "I love mess!" Girls School Screamers, a shivering pound puppy rescued by Troma may not be best in show but struts its stuff admirably. It does have some pacing issues but the kills come hard and fast towards the end and there are a number of amusing performances along the way. (Non-actor Vera Gallagher as the chaperone Sister Urban is a grandmotherly delight. ) Once again, the art department has come through with fantastic cover art the references the original posters (and several other Troma titles according to the extras). A respectable amount of cast and crew interviews make this one worth taking home. Watch it with an edible and your snarkiest friends."

Girls School Screamers

"The title is misleading schlockier than the film actually is, and being a troma film doesn’t help. It still is a little, but it has some great highbrow moments from the great plot twists and setting. The middle of the film is sadly so slow though, and the killings ramp up too quickly too late. But it’s a good slasher. Some performances are questionable, but the overall vibe is decent"

this is a spoooooooooky genuine 80s fright flick!!!!!!!!!!!!

"(. . . )now for the fans of HORROR movies!! this is a pretty damn spooky flick with the exceptions of the pace(the beginning was great but then it goes dry for a little while but once it gets going it GOES!!!)I LOVE THIS FLICK IT BRINGS ME RIGHT BACK TO WHEN I WAS 7-8-9 YEARS OLD & thats what a horror movie is supposed to do. this is a spoooooooooky genuine 80s fright flick!!!! you have a bunch of girls in a ghostly mansion being stalked by some relentless entity(plenty of potential victims ha ha ha!!)just what a true horror fan is looking for!!!!!! decent-bad acting/decent directing/somewhat of a decent storyline/classic(use your own imagination)80s murder scenes(as in not much gore)/& most importantly the beautiful creepy atmosphere!!!(wich explains why no need for gore!!!)the dvd comes out sounding & looking great i just wish that TROMA would put more extras that actually have something to do with the movie rather than TROMA STUDIOS & more info about TROMA!??????(. . . ) ANYWAY THE MOVIE ROCKS GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!turn out the lights chomp on some popcorn & E!!!!N!!!!J!!!!O!!!!Y"

Fun but mostly forgettable

"The opening scene is pretty damn cool, and I wish they kept those elements throughout the film. Unfortunately the middle part sags mightily with an uninteresting plot that keeps being told by different characters and shoved down our throats. It’s almost as if the writers couldn’t figure out where to go or how to make this more interesting, so they just dwell on the same plot point for a good 35 mins."

Will K. (5/5)

Girls School Screamers

"A good supernatural slasher with excellent picture quality. Includes a documentary and a great gory slipcover."

David P. (4/5)

Girls School Screamers

"Not great, but a nice transfer of a cult VHS title. Brought me back to my working days at a video rental🙂"

Ryan F. (4/5)

80s slasher Troma goodness

"Worth it just to see Girl School Screamers in good quailty. This one would probably rank a good bit higher in a list of 80s slashers. Great special features and the slip artwork rules."

Drake D. (5/5)

One of those late-80s Troma

"One of those late-80s Troma pick-up titles. It's fun if you enjoy low budget 80s horror. Had the same team responsible for Blades, which is a much better flick. Blu ray is more love than this title has ever received from anyone."
