Bill Crafton is enjoying a quiet vacation at a remote cabin with his daughter Julie when, all of a sudden, a giant, Bigfoot-like creature bursts in, killing Julie and dragging her body off into the woods. A few months later, young Jack Bergman - the nephew of the cabin’s owner - arrives with his friends, under the guise of a fun-filled few days in the wilderness. However, when they find the place ransacked, Jack is forced to reveal the true purpose of the trip — to investigate the recent disappearance of his uncle Clem, amidst reports of other strange goings-on in the area. Sure enough, when night falls, Bigfoot reappears and attacks the group, dragging two of them away. As dawn breaks, Jack and the rest of his friends prepare to hunt the beast and unknowingly set off on a journey of bloody, otherworldly terror.
Based on an original story by John Carl Buechler - prolific special effects artist and director of Troll and Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood - and helmed by Emmett Alston (New Year’s Evil), DEMONWARP is a delirious late 80s creature feature which throws in everything and the kitchen sink, from hulking Sasquatches, ghoulish zombies, bloody sacrifices and monstrous alien overlords. Featuring Academy Award-winner George Kennedy (Cool Hand Luke, Just Before Dawn, Uninvited) and packed full of gratuitous nudity and head-ripping action, Vinegar Syndrome is thrilled to unveil DEMONWARP on UHD for the very first time, restored in 4K from its original camera negative and loaded with a wealth of newly-produced bonus features.

Reviews
Release of the year!
"An absolutely brilliant release by Vinegar Syndrome. Having watched this in VHS-quality for so many years it was an amazing experience watching this in 4K! I wrote an article about the movie for The Dark Side magazine back in 2024, where I mention that fans of how-the-heck-did-this-get-made cinema will keep discovering and enjoying this movie, and thanks to this release that statement has never been more true!"

Schlocky trash cinema at its finest
"Demonwarp is an ultra campy example of schlock cinema. The movie is an 80s oddity that’s both hilarious and gross. I’m happy to add this title to the collection. I would definitely recommend grabbing it on 4k."
— Michael B. (5/5)
Always love a monster movie
"Some exemplary make-up work by the king - John Carl Buechler - and a trippy final reel lift this shakily paced monster movie"
— Henry S. (5/5)
Demonwarp Rules
"Absolutely fantastic movie with a spectacular release by Vinegar Syndrome the title alone got my foot in the door not to mention the beautiful slip cover, but once I played this movie, I was blown away at how great it was. Sure the effects are cheesy, but that’s part of the charming aspect of this low budget classic"

Just another day on Spyrock Road
"Glad to finally see this delight, and in 4K looking like a million bucks no less! Try to go in as blind as possible, this one goes on some great weird directions. Just wish it had more Azdrath."
— Michael G. (5/5)
I made my friends watch Demonwarp for my birthday
"For my birthday, I forced my friends to sit through Demonwarp, and somehow it ended up being a pretty decent watch. It’s a bizarre mix of horror, sci-fi, and pure VHS-era weirdness that never goes where you expect it to. None of my friends left during the screening either, so that has to count for something. It’s far from a horror masterpiece, but it keeps things moving and there’s always something strange or ridiculous around the corner. What surprised me most was the soundtrack, which is solid and adds a lot to the atmosphere. As usual, Vinegar Syndrome did a fantastic job with the 4K release. The transfer looks great, the packaging is excellent, and it’s exactly the kind of cult oddity that deserves this level of care. A weird, fun, and memorable birthday watch."

One of the best!
"I'd never heard of this movie. . . and bought on a whim. . . so glad I did. Wow! Zombies, Big Foot, Alien, slasher tropes all rolled into one. . . with George Kennedy along for some of the ride. One of the best VS releases. . . and loaded with a great transfer in 4K and copious extras."

Absolutely bonkers and fun as heck
"An absolutely unhinged 80s creature feature & a true joy to watch. Vry entertaining story with a fantastically wild final act, decent practical effects & gore, lots of bare breasts, plenty of cheesy dialogue, good cast. Definitely recommended"
— Nicholas B. (5/5)
George Kennedy was up for anything
"Another 80's oddity getting the deluxe treatment from VS. It doesn't quite reach the WTF levels of Demon Wind or Nightmare Weekend, but this movie genuinely goes off the rails in the 3rd act. . . and it's awesome. Entertaining late night classic that fits the VS brand, especially if you enjoy their output from the early years."
— Joey W. (5/5)
A MUST!!!
"From the director of. . . 9 Deaths of the Ninja!!! Actually. . . Actually; THREE of the Director's 8 movies habe the word "Ninja" in the title! The Movie starts as a typical late 80's Slasher, but then quickly goes of the rails - Bigfoot! Zombies! Demons! Aliens! EVERYTHING!!! George Kennedy is #1 on the call sheet & he's just in it for a few minutes. . ."
