This listing is for the standard edition Blu-ray/DVD combo. The limited edition lenticular slipcover was limited to 3,000 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the slipcover.

The strange and brutal deaths of Cory's grandparents has haunted him for years. Determined to discover the truth, he has returned to the desolate region where they lived, along with a group of friends, to try and uncover the mystery. Ignoring warnings from the locals that the area is cursed, Cory and his friends soon realize that the legend is true, as the Demon Wind, possesses and destroys them, one by one, turning them into monsters from hell.

Taking equal inspiration from THE EVIL DEAD and the visual aesthetics of the early 80s work of Lucio Fulci, Charles Philip Moore's DEMON WIND is a supernatural shocker loaded with an abundance of gore and extraordinarily good creature effects. Never released on DVD, DEMON WIND comes to Blu-ray from Vinegar Syndrome in a brand new 2k restoration of its 35mm camera negative.

Reviews

Very entertaining 1980s flick

"I picked this up at the same time when I saw a VSMC lenticular slipcover was available for it. Low-budget, enjoyable and entertaining ‘80s film, in a dual-format release (BR and DVD). Great artwork. I’ve also included photos of the VSMC lenticular slipcover."

Demon Wind

"A gruesome and really fun supernatural horror film that was clearly inspired by Sam Raimi. Highly recommended!"

Demon purchase

"This is one of those, such as Tammy, the represents what VS is about. Never have I seen this one, so very excited"

John R. (5/5)

Fun time

"Certainly not the greatest movie ever made (to say the absolutely least) but still a fun time watching it"

Chris T. (5/5)

Demon Wind

"Loved the effects in this one, and the shots."

Fin L. (5/5)

Completely ridiculous and I love it

"Demon Wind feels like someone threw together demons, fog machines, fake blood, random one-liners, and absolutely zero logic and somehow it becomes incredibly entertaining because of it. The effects are cheesy in the best possible way and every scene somehow gets more unhinged than the last. This is exactly the kind of horror movie you watch with friends at midnight and end up laughing just as much as screaming."

Kenia C. (5/5)

Top 5 VS release!

"Demon Wind has some Troll 2 vibes going on. It makes absolutely no sense. The characters shouldn’t be friends or even know each other, but they’re all a little too close. The gooey explosions, the terrible dialogue - it never leaves you bored. Picture The Breakfast Club meets Evil Dead meets Alien Nation (you’ll know it when you see it), The first time we see the magician kid may be a favorite scene in all of cinema for me. I feel like the “Pancakes!” kid from Cabin Fever was definitely inspired by that scene. Top 5 Vinegar Syndrome release for me."

You’re obviously not watching this

"You’re obviously not watching this for the acting or script. This is just dumb fun. Enjoy!"

Dale V. (3/5)

Goddamn Hillarious

"If you want a wacky stupid horror movie to have a few drinks with your friends, this is a great pick"

Stephen J. (5/5)

Perfect 90s campy horror

"A must watch. Classic. This looks stunning on disc!"
