The Tall Grass Country Club offers its members a luxury getaway, with all the best in sport and relaxation. But when a mangled body is discovered on the club’s prized golf course, right before a nationally televised tournament, panic ensues at the possibility of a killer on the loose, and even worse, that the death might cause some bad press. Enlisting the expertise of Roy, a has been golf pro, along with disgruntled pro-hopeful, Kelly, to unmask the culprit behind the carnage, the club’s hard nosed owner soon finds himself with even bigger problems when additional victims begin to turn up, and all signs point to the killer being an out of control, bloodthirsty lawn mower!

"Dreadfully unfunny parody of Jaws. Just beat for beat with lawnmower instead of a shark. No one makes jokes. Did the filmakers ever watch a parody (eg Airplane) to see how it's done? Basically a kids film until 2 short gore scenes which are the exact same effect duplicated. So that rules out the kiddies. . . who was this movie for? Commentary is mainly the filmakers explaining what's on screen and laughing like they've made a masterpiece."
"Title says it all. Blind buy for me and greatly enjoyed it."
"Such great fun from back in the day. . . definitely don't make them like this anymo"
"The strangest Jaws clone I saw, but a fun ride"
"cool movie"
"Blades (1989) is a masterpiece of cinematic stupidity. It doesn’t just reference Jaws; it skins it alive and wears its hide while driving a possessed lawnmower. If you’ve ever looked at a fairway and thought, "This needs more blood and less par," this Troma-distributed gem is your hole-in-one."
"This movie was alot of fun. It was actually way better than I expected! It looked awesome"
"Great"
"Synopsis: The golfers at the Tall Grass Country Club are in a world of danger when a giant rogue lawnmower literally mows them down and it's putting the annual televised tournament in jeopardy. Recently acquired Golf Pro Roy Kent, who was kicked from the big circuit due to alcohol, teams up with the previous pro and now jealous Kelly Lange to try and find out what they are dealing with. To tackle a beast this big the two have to bring in big lawnmower hunter and local crackpot Deke Slade to get the job done. Review: An excellent parody of Jaws with direct "homages" that are taken seriously despite being completely absurd. This is a very fun watch especially if you are a Jaws fan. My main criticism is that there is very little gore. A killer lawnmower demand satiation with gallons of blood. Carnage Count 2/5 Sleaze Score 1/5"
