A surreal slasher from the wilds of New Orleans, THE LAST SLUMBER PARTY feels like a YA novel by R.L. Stine that was filtered through a haze of DIY madness. The story follows the foul-mouthed, sex-crazed Chris (played with gusto by Jan Jensen), Tracy, and Linda as they prepare for the ultimate slumber party on their last day of high school. But little do the ladies know that the party is about to be crashed by a maniacal killer with a giant scalpel! Rejecting all forms of logic in favor of a dreamlike mood, lifted scenes from HALLOWEEN, and songs by metalheads Firstryke, this is regional horror filmmaking at a magical peak. AGFA is thrilled to rescue THE LAST SLUMBER PARTY from the VHS wasteland with a new restoration from the 16mm camera negative, plus enough extras to fill your next three slumber parties. In the words of Chris: "Let's munch out!"

Great Collector’s Package

Not bad
"Decently paced and the female characters are entertaining. The male characters are bumholes. You'll be glad when bad things happen to them. Video quality is pretty good. Subtitles were great too. I don't recall any missing words. You'll have fun with this movie."
— Nolan L. (4/5)

Campy Horror
"The Last Slumber Party is an earnest execution that successfully captures the zeitgeist of the VHS horror crowd. This Blu-ray printing is fantastic and has a fair amount of DVD extras that round out the experience. 5 stars and 10/10"

A horror mystery
"Not a bad 1988 nostalgic flashback! Very serviceable, not too much blood, zero nudity, very familiar dialogue. It kept me entertained. The video quality was that of 1988 technology but transfers well on Blu-ray."
— Scott S. (4/5)
Dream Hallucinate Me Straight To The Sleeping (Garbage) Bag
"Good Lordt! What a whacked fever dream garbage nightmare that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever yet is a complete BLAST of raucous hilarity to sit through. Once again, a piece of wild and untamedly unhinged nonsense is saved for the ages by Vinegar Syndrome. There is a place in cinema heaven for those who dare enjoy this double fisted wallop of slumber party madness. THANK YOU garbage cinema Jesus for this!"
— Robert M. (5/5)
Terrible
"One of the worst low-budget slashers I've ever seen. It's right up there with Terror at Tenkiller, but not as boring. The only way it can be watched is with the Rifftrax commentary."
— Erik G. (1/5)
Decent slasher
"Decent atmosphere and characters. Kills were pretty boring."
— Sean T. (3/5)
80s trash horror
"This surreal slasher is a blast and is a classic of the AGFA catalog. Appreciated the release of this again after missing out on the release the 1st time. This isn’t high cinema by any means but is sure a heck of a lot of fun."
— Brent B. (4/5)
