Boasting a crack ensemble cast, brooding nocturnal cinematography courtesy of DP Li Jianeng, and an insider’s understanding of small-town claustrophobia, Na’s sleek neo-noir established him as one of Mainland China’s undeniable emerging talents during its lauded festival run.
