Saturn's Core Audio & Video is a New Jersey based home video label devoted to releasing underground oddities and shot on video cinema on VHS, and now, blu-ray discs! In partnership with OCN Distribution, Saturn's Core will exhume forgotten or under-seen genre cinema from the 80s and 90s, with an emphasis on SOV horror features. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

Leonard (Tommy Biondo) is a depraved serial killer who is documenting his atrocities by keeping a scrapbook of the torment he inflicts, forcing each of his victims to personally chronicle their horrific ordeal within the pages before experiencing their grim demise. When he abducts Clara (Emily Haack), she too must unwillingly add her suffering to the pages of the book. Filthy, naked, and trapped amidst the decaying remains of previous victims, Clara is repeatedly beaten, raped, starved, and humiliated by her unhinged captor. She soon realizes that her only hope for survival is to manipulate Leonard through her writing, by authoring a final and cunning chapter to his macabre and cherished compendium of horrors.

Voted the “Best Independent Film of the Year” (2001) by Rue Morgue Magazine, the raw and claustrophobic Scrapbook heralded a visceral and transgressive turning point in the career of visionary, Missouri based video auteur Eric Stanze (Savage Harvest, Ice from the Sun, Ratline) boasting a fearless and awe-inspiring performance by lead actress Emily Haack. One of the most harrowing and disturbing depictions of a serial killer in cinematic history, Scrapbook polarized audiences, courted controversy, won festival awards, incurred censorship, and foreshadowed the “torture porn” movement in horror that would flourish in the decade to come. Saturn's Core is proud to unleash Scrapbook; fully uncut and uncensored in its first ever, director supervised Blu-Ray edition.

                    Scrapbook

"Scrapbook is a tense and unnerving horror film that grips viewers with its raw, intimate portrayal of obsession and terror. The film’s unsettling atmosphere and relentless pacing make every scene feel charged with dread. It’s a chilling, unforgettable watch that leaves a lasting impression on fans of extreme psychological horror."

Amazing Slipcover of A Really Fun Horror Movie!

"The slipcover was what drew me into this really cool horror flick, as is often the case with the king of slipcovers, VS! This film is a lower budget horror cinema at its very core and is a very engaging watch from beginning to end! The peerless VS restoration process was on full display with stellar sound and picture! Thank you, VS, for continuing to lovingly restore and release so many wonderful films from every conceivable genre! You are keeping physical media alive in this streaming world we now live in! Highly recommended!"

                    Paul K. (5/5)

                    GRIM

"SOV really works for this. It’s nasty and uncomfortable throughout in a very nihilistic way. Not one for a sunday afternoon. Unless you’re in a very dark place one afternoon on a sunday… Does exactly what it sets out to do."
