Since 2004, Bleeding Skull has explored otherworldly cinema through reviews, books, and home video releases. We shine a light on independent genre films that have flown under the radar but deserve to be seen by all. Fangoria has called Bleeding Skull “The go-to encyclopedia for trash, bizarre, and shot-on-video cinema,” while Vice referred to it as “like a fever dream glimpse into parallel worlds". Visit us at BLEEDINGSKULL.COM.

Prepare for a movie marathon from the eighth dimension. BACKYARD BLOODBATHS is a triple feature of underground horror discoveries that have never been widely released. First is SUMMER HORROR DAY—a Casiocore splatterfest from the UK Video Nasty era that was shot entirely on Super 8 film. From there, we encounter 777—an experimental serial killer artifact that was conjured on video tape by teenagers in Tucson, Arizona and has never been released on any format. Finally, we visit BLACK MAMBA—a crazed psychedelic anthology from undiscovered auteur Belinda M. Wilson. Plus, the blood keeps flowing with THE PSYCHOTIC ODYSSEY OF RICHARD CHASE, A.I. MAMA, and BLOOD BATH: TALES OF EERIE PUBLICATIONS—three shorts that provide an ideal chaser for this surreal experience.

Backyard Bloodbaths: Micro‑Budget Massacre Fun

"Backyard Bloodbaths is scrappy mayhem—sun‑bleached lawns, DIY gore, and camcorder chaos. Bleeding Skull’s Blu‑ray preserves its tape‑born grit and adds loving extras, turning this micro‑budget slasher oddity into a cult‑collector gem. Come for Black Mamba, Stay for the Rest

"In her cryptic Introduction (bonus feature), Belinda M. Wilson tells us she based Black Mamba on a true story -- more or less. And then the movie begins and we see these bizarre, hellish apparitions and frightening collapses of reason, and you think, my god, she's right: IT'S ALL TRUE!"

Andy D. (5/5)

Hurry Up and Buy

"Any time Bleeding Skull releases a blu-ray, you don’t ask questions. You buy."

Jeffrey L. (5/5)
