When the wealthy Andrew Marsh is found dead of a heart attack in bed, the police don't know what to make of the homemade sex-tape he died watching, nor the fact that he was discovered handcuffed. As it comes out that his much younger, BDSM-inclined girlfriend Rebecca Carlson was not only on that sextape, but also in his will for an $8M inheritance, district attorney Robert Garrett goes after her. Accusing Rebecca of having cunningly made her own body the murder weapon, and with public opinion against her, only Carlson's defense attorney, Frank Dulaney, seems to believe that she's innocent. But that's before things get considerably rougher, both in the court and in the uneasy confidence between Rebecca and her chosen counsel.

"It took courage on behalf of the actors to be in this movie. Kudos to the actors for doing their best. The director and writer just needed a little more time and maybe another producer to help them turn this average movie into a great movie. I just couldn't understand why the lawyer would cheat on his wife when she was smoking hot. The pieces for something grand are all there, they just weren't put together quite right. Still an interesting watch if you like a wide variety of movies. Some fun essays as well."

"Body of Evidence is definitely one of those very slick, very dramatic erotic thrillers that could only come out of the early 90s. It leans hard into the tension and style more than subtlety, but that’s the fun of it. Madonna’s performance gives the movie this icy confidence that keeps it entertaining even when it gets a little absurd. The whole thing feels glamorous, messy, and kind of hypnotic in that classic late-night cable movie way. Added bonus is the gorgeous packaging!"

Solid combo of erotic thriller/trial film
"This isn't typically a genre I watch, but this is pretty good. Dafoe and Madonna deliver good lead performances, and the writing is strong, cloaking the murder mystery till very late in the film. There's weird sleazy erotic scenes with Dafoe and Madonna, intercut with what most of the film is, which is a trial film. There's some twists that are well executed. This isn't the type of film VS usually releases, I do recommend it for those into erotic thrillers."
