Saturn's Core Audio & Video is a New Jersey based home video label devoted to releasing underground oddities and shot on video cinema on VHS, and now, blu-ray discs! In partnership with OCN Distribution, Saturn's Core will exhume forgotten or under-seen genre cinema from the 80s and 90s, with an emphasis on SOV horror features. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

Experience the mesmerizing works of one of underground cinema’s most eccentric and unique female video auteurs. Writer, director, and martial arts black belt Pamela Sutch began her career as an actress for New Jersey’s W.A.V.E. Productions; starring in dozens of their seminal ‘90s classics (Psycho Sisters, Sorority Slaughter, Rana: Queen of the Amazon) and becoming an internationally recognized indie scream queen. In the early 2000s, Pam obtained a camera of her own and launched Siren Tales Productions; heroically directing a bewildering array of distinctive video features that meet somewhere at the aesthetic crossroads of Gary Whitson, Doris Wishman, & Neil Breen.

Saturn’s Core is proud to present this new collection which compiles six of Pamela Sutch’s genre hopping video features from the 2000s including a sexy, modern homage to the railroad track-tying Perils of Pauline serials of the 1910s (The Gosh Darned Mortgage) co-starting her W.A.V.E. cohorts Tina Krause & Debbie D., a pair of baffling vine-assaulting, custom Sci-Fi epics (Operation Storm Cloud & Project Gamma Ray), a duo of body-swapping / gender transformation fetish yarns (Transformed & Genetics), and a familial murder mystery (Catastrophy) with a non-human cast comprised solely of real feline kitty cats (and one bird)!

Reviews

A great collection of the

"A great collection of the great Pamela Sutch the great W. A. V. E actress/icon. She has her own style and I believe she directed all her shorts and have something much more distinct that most of the other filmmakers that have done films with her. We got 295 mins here of extras and films and at the very least watch 'Catastrophy' at the very least. It will blow your mind!"

Maybe you'll like it

"I was pleasantly surprised by the first short with the cats, but they got pretty repetitive fast. Vines are bad. People shoot things from their eyes. A voluptuous lady wears underwear for a long time. I get it, but don't have to watch."

Alex B. (3/5)

Fun Homemade Trash

"The Stupefying Siren Tales of Pamela Sutch is a strange, low-budget anthology that fully embraces its outsider, DIY spirit. Pamela Sutch brings a unique, anything-goes energy that makes each segment feel unpredictable and oddly personal. It’s definitely rough and unconventional, but for fans of underground cinema, that raw creativity is part of the appeal."

Shawn M. (3/5)

A Mixed Bag

"I'd already seen two of these on VHS (the cat one and the one with the mountie), so I knew what to expect. I've only watched those two and another two on top of that, but I'm fairly sure I'll keep this collection. It's really not great filmmaking, but it does have a charm and it's significantly more enjoyable than a lot of SOV. So I could recommend it to open-minded viewers who don't take their films too seriously, but don't expect too much!"

Sam N. (4/5)

Weird super weird quirky stuff

"Gotta admire the passion to create something out of nothing. Of course some are better than others but where can you find deadly kitty cats"

Bruce K. (4/5)

A genius release of amazing films

"The WAVE and WAVE adjacent releases are always the best of Saturn's Core. It has both Tina Krause and Debbie D which is more than enough reason to buy it. If they're there, I'm happy. But beyond them, we get scientists in heels getting their clothes ripped off by killer plants, teleportation, kung fu fights, body switching, cats, nudity, evil twins. . . in short everything that is great about low budget filmmaking. Pam Sutch made some great stuff here and this release is utterly packed with both films and extras. One of the best releases in a long time. Forget the art and let's have fun. Highly, highly recommended."

Ed K. (5/5)

Bizarre smattering of mind melting

"Bizarre smattering of mind melting video silliness- love these obscure and strange shot on video releases. Stuff youd never really expect to get released, wonderful time were living in"

Sam A. (5/5)

Awesome package of entertainment!

"This was an awesome suprise. I pretty much blind buy all Saturns' Core stuff and this was a fantastic release, loved everything about it, great extras too!"

Casey K. (5/5)

Pamela Sutch: Underground SOV Oddities

"I’d never encountered Pamela Sutch before, and this Blu-ray set from Saturn’s Core is a wild introduction. Across six eccentric features from the 2000s, she jumps from sci-fi chaos to gender-bending tales, feline murder mysteries, and even a modern, risqué take on the Perils of Pauline. Her DIY, shot-on-video style is full of energy and personality, blending quirky humor with offbeat horror and fetish elements. The package goes beyond the films, offering commentaries, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage that make her world feel fully alive. A must-see for fans of obscure, inventive indie cinema."

Mitchell C. (5/5)

Great stuff

"Great collection of six of Pamela Sutch’s genre hopping video features from the 2000s. Includes Catastrophy, The Gosh Darned Mortgage, Operation Storm Cloud, Project Gamma Ray, Transformed, & Genetics. Highly recommended collection."
