Saturn's Core Audio & Video is a New Jersey based home video label devoted to releasing underground oddities and shot on video cinema on VHS, and now, blu-ray discs! In partnership with OCN Distribution, Saturn's Core will exhume forgotten or under-seen genre cinema from the 80s and 90s, with an emphasis on SOV horror features. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

Deranged Vietnam vet David Kates (Sal Longo) suffers from flashbacks of the atrocities he endured during the war; savagely murdering and mutilating innocent brunette women who resemble the enemy Major who tortured his brigade. Shortly after being captured and imprisoned for his crimes, Kates escapes from prison, murders his vacationing jailhouse shrink, and assumes his identity. Now masquerading as a psychologist, Kates infiltrates the police department and offers his assistance in helping to capture the escaped serial killer who’s dismembering local women. Unfortunately for the police, the doctor they’re collaborating with is the actual lunatic they’re in search of…and his delusion means death for everyone!

A gory, mean spirited SOV slasher epic from New Jersey’s “custom movie” purveyors W.A.V.E. Productions, Fatal Delusion marked the first ever on screen performances from legendary scream queens Tina Krause (Limbo, Bad Biology) and Deana Demko (The Ironbound Vampire, Sorority Slaughter) plus supporting appearances by Laura Giglio (An Ex-Hookers Christmas Carol), Dawn Murphy (Backwoods Marcy), Clancy McCauley (Dead North), and Michelle Caporaletti (Hung Jury). Notable for featuring murder scenes shot in the hallways and courtyards of NJ’s Chiller Theatre and Baltimore’s Fanex conventions back in 1994, Fatal Delusion presents a staggering analog panorama of bathtub autopsies, chainsaw disembowelings, incessant shower scenes, puffy neon fashions, and entrail toilet flushing.

WAVE

"Mad that these are getting the restoration and treatment that they are, the SOV aesthetics are not lost with the restoration and the vibes over plot are all present!"

Delude yourself

"This is a total time capsule of 90s shot-on-video horror. The plot about a veteran taking over a cop identity is wild, but the real draw is seeing underground horror icons Tina Krause and Deana Demko early in their careers. It has that perfect backyard filmmaking charm that makes these obscure releases fun to throw on late at night."

Kevin G. (5/5)

WAVE

"More custom made WAVE weirdness. If you enjoy their other stuff, then you'll enjoy this. Maybe not the best thing to starr with, though. I liked it. And Tina Krause. More of her."

David R. (4/5)

Fun SOV slasher

"Another great restoration of a wave productions title. This release edition comes loaded with extras, like almost the more movies included, and for Tina Krause lovers, there are a few extra clips. The main flick is slasher themed with a neat twist."

Kresh R. (4/5)

SOV Weirdness

"Three SOV videos on one disc. Low, low budget movies with silly premises and quite a bit of T&A. It's good for what it is, but keep expectations low if you're looking for quality (acting, effects, writing, etc. . . )"

John P. (5/5)

SC-041

"Another brain melting W. A. V. E. production, which clocks in with 104 minutes and thus almost 30 minutes too long. This stuff is an acquiered taste and I understand that many people can't stand it. And though this is far from being my favorite Gary Whitson production, I still liked it. The picture quality is suprisingly good for an SOV production for the 90s. Audio can be hard to understand, but thankfully SC has included subtitles as always. Once again Saturn's Core outdid themselves in terms of extras. Besides 2 audio commentaries on the main feature and new and archival interviews with some of the cast, there is a full length bonus feature of 90 minutes called Virgin Sacrifices, directed by Whitson + more. You can hardly ask for anything more!"

I Love This Slipcover & The Really Fun Saturn's Core Flick!

"Saturn's Core is without a doubt my absolute favorite VS Partner label! The title of this really cool flick is very appropriate for what you see in the film! The presentation is not your standard high-budget Hollywood fare, but that is part of its charm! The movie is a very fun watch and kept me wanting more when it was over! The peerless VS restoration process was on full display with stellar sound and picture! The extras were also really good, as always with Saturn's Core films! Thank you, VS, for continuing to lovingly restore and release so many wonderful films from every conceivable genre! You are keeping physical media alive in this streaming world we now live in! Highly recommended!"

2 Alluring & Creepy Films

"Both the films on this were very creepy, Sal Longo plays a great serial killer, and all the girls are great, especially baddie Queen Tina Krause."

Jonah A. (5/5)

Fun wave movie

"Great wave addition with charming performances and the extras are great"
