A charming, vulgar, reimagining of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s Teorema:
A refugee emerges from a suitcase on the bank of the Thames—one of several identical men appearing across the city. Disguised as a homeless man, he infiltrates an upper-class household by befriending the maid, who claims he is her nephew. The family then hires him as a live-in servant. As in Teorema, the Visitor engages intimately with each family member - the encounters portrayed through explicit scenes. These interactions spark profound sexual and spiritual transformations within the household.

"Sitting happily next to Miike's Visitor Q in my library, another riff on Teorema, The Visitor explores familiar ground for LaBruce. Witty, explicit, arch, and political. If John Waters is 'the pope of trash' then LaBruce is certainly the uncle of the dirt bag left. Certainly LaBruce is slightly more interested in the erotic than the shocking, and seeing the political knitted into the body and it's capacity for pleasure, wherever that body is from, is a refreshing approach to the sad reinforcing of national boundaries. Marks off for no subtitles though."

"I used to read Bruce La Bruce's music reviews in free alternative papers in the 90s and always enjoyed them and knew he had gone on to make films. I'd never seen them and thought I'd check his work out with the Visitor. I have to say this was a very eye-opening film! Very interesting and NOTHING like my normal fare. La Bruce is a fearless film maker. This release looks great and the extras are quite interesting."
