Set in Uganda, this documentary follows two men from opposite sides of the world who come together over a shared love for Chuck Norris. Isaac, a former brick maker, decides to pick up a camera and start shooting his own '80s inspired action epics, and Alan, a film nerd from New York, gives up his life in America to join forces with Isaac after seeing a trailer for one of his films online. Against all odds, the two unlikely friends have catapulted Wakaliwood to worldwide stardom with their own gonzo action movies, bringing joy to millions of people across the internet.

Reviews
An Average Budget Of $200
"This documentary is supa fantastic! The massive passion Isaac has for his art is inspiring and wonderful, and his hard work and dedication to film making shows an incredible amount of heart! Learning that most of his films (at least as stated in the doc. ) have a budget of around $200 is incredible. But this story is also about Alan Ssali, the New Yorker who helped get word of these films, as well as the films themselves, out to an international market. Alan arrived in Wakaliga unannounced to try and do just what he set out to, which is also pretty inspiring. His service to Wakaliwood is a beautiful thing. There are some real nice special features, and the slipcover is a supa sweet too!"

Get Wakaliwood Supa Action First
"Movie: It was really nice to see Wakaliga in HD, and there was some neat drone footage. The relationship between Isaac (IGG) & Alan is the core of the movie. It was nice to see them being good friends, and then when things get rocky my emotional investment jumped back up. There's a decently satisfying climax at the end, and while it's not the documentary's fault per se, I was left feeling a bit sad that Ramon Film Productions hadn't been able to make their finances work yet. It seems like they should have enough goodwill to make a big crowdfunding push get them at least _some_ runway. Extras: Nice to have the deleted scenes, but the option to watch them with "commentary" is just a brief spoken intro, so IMO they should just play that before the scene. The discussion in fine. Book: The essay solidifies the context around the film but is honestly kind of forgettable. Packaging: A solid inner cover."
