In Hayride Slaughter, a series of murders has caused chaos at a poplar Halloween haunted hayride attraction. A satanic black cloaked killer is on the loose, baffling the local police as bodies continuously pile up with pentagrams crudely carved into their flesh. The owners hire renowned psychic investigator Desiree Vargas (Tina Krause) and her partner Cliff (Jim O’Rear) to pose undercover at the attraction as a magic act. Will Desiree discover the identity of the killer in time or wind up on the sacrificial altar of the nefarious demon Krotos? Shot on location at the actual Frightland Halloween attraction in Delaware, crucial Fall slasher vibes, salacious full frontal nudity, and mind melting, rudimentary green screen FX abound in one of W.A.V.E.’s most sought after and infamous features.
In Halloween Horrors, a pair of greedy sisters are kidnapped on Halloween night and held for ransom. When their father fails to make the payoff in time, the girls are tortured and murdered in the kidnappers’ harrowing dungeon of death. Or so it seems. Could one of the sisters possibly be in cahoots with their abductor in an attempt to reclaim an inheritance? Find out as Clancy McCauley (Dead North) & Terri Lewandowski (Sleepover Massacre) star in this Hallow’s Eve horror epic from the halcyon mail order days of W.A.V.E. Productions.

"Decent pairing of two Halloween themed WAVE movies. "Hayride Slaughter" suffers from the frequent problem of being too long, but Tina Krause fans will find sticking it out worthwhile for a generous view of her. I preferred the shorter "Halloween Horrors" with Clancy McCauley and Terri Lewandowski. As usual, these Saturn's Core releases of WAVE titles have a good amount of special features if you care to dig into them."
"Hayride slaughter (HS) was unfortunately not as visually enjoyable due to the quality as Halloween Horrors (HH). But it (HS) was a more enjoyable movie. The entire magic act in the middle was weird but fun. Some of the special effects were heartwarmingly bad, but understandable for the time and budget. The special features of HS also made this disc very nice. The interviews and promos were fun to watch. Halloween Horrors was boring IMO. Special features were also lackluster."
"Tina Krause is so cool, love the bangs and big shirt in this one. She plays one half of a pair of supernatural investigators that go under cover as a magic act at a haunted house attraction in order to solve a series of occult murders. The lengthy dramatic pre-coital scene with her and her cop ex-boyfriend has a Cassavettes quality, a human highlight of the film. There's an absurdly long single shot/angle take of a live magic show that is so lame but has an incredible 'how did they do that' finale that makes it worth it. There's a bit of a 'Scream' flavor to the finale, until it turns into a too brief green screen demonic freak-out. I still haven't watched Halloween Horrors, but it just doesn't sound as compelling as the A film. There's a 20 minute bonus feature, a promo for an unreleased SOV vampire movie starring Tina comprised of her giving a brief introduction to potential investors then a lengthy photoshoot of her looking absolutely gorgeous in and out of various vampire flick attire, which rules"
"Good value as a double feature, super fun lo-fi SOV mayhem, and great extras to boot!"
"Lol, I love a tedious amateur magician shows in the middle of my low-budget fetish film entertainment (while Krause clearly stands freezing…) But killer-filler is what you get from Whitson - as a double dose – because Halloween Horrors is on this release too."
"unmedicated filmmaking and proudly unhinged. haunted by its own ambition. decadent genre formalism Five stars"
"This was a random selection on my part, and it is a fun although maybe not all that memorable double feature release of shot on video horror flicks. Looking at some of the original footage from the included extras, it is obvious a lot of effort went into the making of this."
"Was expecting more holiday vibes from halloween horrors but hayride slaughter had good atmosphere and kills."
"Great double feature from saturns core"
