Awesome throwback, that works the same OG magic!

"Now, with bonus Congress Street warehouse dust! xD A really cool throwback, that functions perfectly. As a child of the 80s, this was my first experience with film (8mm), besides cinema trips and taking photos with 35mm point and shoot cameras. I've included pics of my original VM and some reels, for design comparison. I do wish that VS provided some reels to go with this. Winding Through, VSMC, and Fools Day packs, would be great additions, redeemable via VSMC points, or for sale, as limited items. :)"

Ridiculous collector merch in the best way 😁

"This is exactly the kind of random Vinegar Syndrome collectible that I somehow end up loving 😂 The ViewMaster design is pure nostalgia, and putting the VS branding on it makes it feel like some weird little video-store artifact from another timeline. It feels solid in hand, the build quality is better than I expected, and it’s actually fun to use instead of just being something that sits on a shelf. The whole presentation has that perfect mix of retro toy and boutique physical-media nonsense. Completely unnecessary? Absolutely. Am I glad I bought it? 100%. This is the kind of weird collector merch Vinegar Syndrome does really well. 😁"

Works like you'd expect

"You can see from the photos this arrived pretty dusty, which is a shame because these really should've sold better. They're very fun and several websites are out there that let you send in images to make your own reels. I plan to do some film screenshots to make a little movie collection in addition to the ones I already own. These are super fun!"

Why no reels?

"Hopefully enough of these sold during the sale that maybe we'll see a couple more somewhere down the line. Either way, I've been wanting to pick up one of these for years, and the last sale finally got me to. It's exactly what it claims to be and works as it should."

Great retro item

"I purchased this at a very good price during a recent VS sale. It will enable me to properly look at the various Viewmaster reels I have (I have one of the old bakelite Viewmasters, slightly damaged - but kept due to sentimental reasons) - though I will have to go up into my attic to find them. I had the same experience as other reviewers - mine did arrive in a very dusty condition; although it easily cleaned up, it would have been better for VS to package them in a simple box to protect them from dust."
