Saint Simon, a deranged and manic painter, believes that he is the reincarnation of Vincent van Gogh. When his beautiful wife dies unexpectedly, Simon suffers an emotional breakdown and insists that his necrophiliac butler, Hermann, help remove her corpse from the cemetery and bring it back to his castle to help him retain his creativity; placing the body on display inside of a hidden crypt. Still struggling with his art, Simon soon meets a young woman named Sybille, who bears a striking resemblance to his late wife, and lures her back to the castle with the intention of making her into his new muse. Trapped inside, Sybille must find a way to escape the horrors taking place within the castle walls, as Simon has recently discovered that human blood may hold the key to unlocking his true creative potential.

A sublimely twisted shocker from late 80s Italy, Sergio Bergonzelli’s (In the Folds of the Flesh) BLOOD DELIRIUM is a non-stop assault on good taste, with gut-pulling murders, graphic sex, and a whole host of other perversions. Starring John Phillip Law (Danger: Diabolik, Barbarella), Brigitte Christensen (Quiet Days in Clichy), Olinka Hardiman (Lingeries Fines et Perverses) and sword-and-sandal star turned Eurosleaze character actor Gordon Mitchell (Emanuelle, Queen of Sados) in the most demented role of his lengthy career, Vinegar Syndrome is overjoyed to present the world Blu-ray debut of this twisted and stylish gem, newly restored in 2K from its 35mm original camera negative and presented in its fully uncut and uncensored version!

        Wild As Hell

"This film was a wild ride. It was like it was a lot of different genres thrown into a blender. It tried to be an arthouse kind of film, but it is sleazy as heck. It also tries to be a horror film but veers into camp. I bought this after watching the director's In The Folds Of The Flesh which was all kinds of WTF moments. I would watch this if you like to watch out there films that leave you in a fever dream."

        Nathan L. (3/5)

A film like this comes around once in a lifetime.

"Nothing can prepare you for a film like this. A breakout role for our leading lady in a movie that features shot after shot of mind bending imagery. A must see for the uninitiated. The stunning slipcover features artwork that’s sure to impress and a raised, embossed logo to boot. Need I say more?"

        Mark H. (5/5)

        This movie is bonkers

        Jelmer B. (5/5)

        This was a weird one!

"This was a weird one! I didn't quite know what I was in for and by the time it ended, I wondered what I just watched, haha. The cast is solid and there's a lot of moody atmosphere but I'll have to give it another go soon. Love the artwork on the slip and as always, VS did a great job with this release."

        Ryan S. (3/5)

        Twisted Tale of Demented Men

"If you can stomach some of the more disturbing elements, such as necrophilia, and enjoy the overall story then you may enjoy this."

        Adam S. (4/5)

        Niels S. (5/5)

        A bloody good time. . .

"A horror gem that while "bloody," has a beauty to it. Definitely a watch if you're into the strange and weird. . . but done with class. A beautiful score and loaded with extras! A great release by Vinegar Syndrome! A++"

        Steven K. (5/5)

        Bloody fun

"Sleazy, bloody, Italian fun. Had a great time with this one. Love this slip as well."

        Austin J. (5/5)

        Unique and Weird

"Let’s take a minute and appreciate the sheer amount of unknown (at least to me) gems that Vinegar Syndrome releases. Their role in the history of film preservation is undeniable. Blood Delirium is another gem that if you are here you will probably enjoy it. It’s got just about every type of depravity you could imagine. And it’s got that classic look that the Italians are so perfect at, but then it’s also like nothing else any of them shot! Enjoy!"
