"The World’s Most Hated Band,” notorious rappers Insane Clown Posse, find themselves as unwitting warriors for the First Amendment after they and their one million die-hard fans (called Juggalos) are labeled a gang by the FBI. With the help of the ACLU, the band fights to uncover the reasons behind the designation and get removed from the gang list as their fans begin to losing their jobs, have their children put into protective custody, and face jail time — all because of their musical tastes.

          Entertaining and informative documentary

"Entertaining and informative documentary about a music group mislabeled as a criminal organization. Comes with a great amount of life footage related to the legal battle. Extras include a fairly large selection of additional scenes and commentary."

          Victims of an insane government

"I wouldn't call myself a Rap fan and before this movie I didn't know any song by the Insane Clown Posse. After watching "The United States of Insanity" I immediately looked for their CDs, not only because I liked the music I heard but also to support this duo in their fight against the government and for their unjustly discriminated fans. This movie is not only about the law suit but also a band biography of the Posse which shows them and their fans as likable persons and members of their own families as well as the Juggalos. The deleted and extended scenes are expansive (over 60 minutes) with the road trip through Detroit being the most interesting one. Even if you are not a Rap fan, I can fully recommend this documentary to everyone."

          Bernhard K. (5/5)

Get a 3 litre bottle of Faygo and dive in!

"Excellent and fresh documentary featuring the wicked clowns ICP. I've been a fan since 2001 and watching this takes me back to those days. It really captures the lives and essence of what being a juggalo is all about. The fact they were considered a gang is ridiculous and I'm glad they were able to fight off the FBI. This doc shows lots of old photos and video footage about how they got started with the posse. Lots of great talks and interviews with the fam & juggalos. Get this if you're a juggalo. Don't if you're a hater and unbeliever of the Dark Carnival. Woop Woop!!"
