Factory 25, a Brooklyn-based independent film distribution company was founded in 2009 by Matt Grady. F25 is a home for conceptually provocative narratives and documentaries. Its mission is to deliver specialized film and music titles in an aesthetically captivating way while exposing the indie world to under-the-radar films, music, and other curiosities in various ways and formats — theatrically, digitally, on TV, VOD, via subscription, limited edition DVDs,  Blu-ray's, books and vinyl. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

In a desperate search to create a follow-up to Joe Swanberg's 2011 film UNCLE KENT, Kent Osborne travels to a comic book convention in San Diego where he loses his mind and confronts the end of the world. Reuniting in the GREMLINS 2 of "Indie" sequels, Joe Swanberg, Jennifer Prediger and Tipper Newton return in a surrealist look into Osborne's madness. Written by Osborne and passing the directors' torch over to Todd Rohal (The Catechism Cataclysm) Uncle Kent 2 plays out like an absurdist successor that bends the rules of sequels and the minds of the audience.

"Great package! The amount of work, that went into the slipcover. The shorts. The funny booklet. A treasure for fans of mumble core and weird movies."

    Dominik W. (5/5)

A distinctive combination of humor and existential themes.

""Uncle Kent 2" on Blu-Ray offers a unique blend of humor and existential dread that truly sets it apart in the realm of indie cinema. As a sequel to the original, it cleverly maintains the quirky charm while introducing new layers to the story. The film captures the essence of modern life and relationships with a sharp, satirical edge. The picture quality on this Blu-Ray release is impressive, providing vivid colors and crisp visuals that enhance the viewing experience. The sound design complements the film perfectly, immersing you in the often surreal, yet relatable scenarios that unfold. Bonus features include insightful commentary and behind-the-scenes content that give viewers a deeper understanding of the filmmaking process and the creative minds behind it. The packaging itself is beautifully designed, making it a worthwhile addition for collectors. Overall, "Uncle Kent 2" is a delightful watch that blends humor and introspection in a way that's both entertaining and thought-provoking. I Came for the Hannah Takes the Stairs Remake

"Not a huge fan of UNCLE KENT, and truthfully, probably less of a fan of the sequel. But when I saw this Factory 25 edition offered a remake of Joe Swanberg's mumblecore classic, HANNAH TAKES THE STAIRS, I have to bend. Glad I did. It's a charming little piece of cinema."

    Jeff W. (3/5)

    Uncle Kent 2

"Enjoyable little oddity that has caused me to search out Uncle Kent 1. Then I'll be due for a re-watch. Perfect runtime at 72 minutes. The flick never drags and has nice pacing."

    Adam K. (4/5)

    Uncle Kent 2

"A blind buy that turned out more than ok. Never heard of Kent Osborne but all the same quite entertaining. Comes with the usual meaty booklet and great extras. Recommended."

    Hansi L. (4/5)

    Bought this based on reviews

"Bought this based on reviews and the trailer, not knowing about it beforehand, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Cool to see a film like this getting such a nice release."

    Matthew P. (4/5)

    Underrated

"Underrated meta "sequel" requires no knowledge of Uncle Kent 1 and is a must for Weird Al fans."

    John P. (4/5)

    Incomparable

"Uncle Kent 2 is micro-budget meta surrealism that has no business being as successful as it is. But its self-effacing anarchy is so strangely infectious and bewitching. Granted, it strikes a very niche interest group and will no doubt irritate many. But it will be a great time and inspiration to many lovers and makers of strange, low-tech offerings. This top tier release also boasts gorgeous slip art and invaluable supplementals."

    Galen H. (5/5)

    2 thumps way up!

"One of my favorites so far. The comedy and style just oozes thoughtful mind bending fun. Awesome misleading cover and beautiful transfer. I will watch every other sequel that gets made."
