Presented in partnership with Something Weird Video...

The American Genre Film Archive (AGFA) represents the world's largest theatrical catalog of exploitation cinema. Their home video line presents a diverse selection of movies, ranging from new preservations of classics from the vast library of Something Weird to the wildest in shot-on-video (SOV) titles. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

Torn from yesterday's headlines, TRUE CRIME TRIPLE RIPPER presents a trio of pulpy exploitation volcanoes that are based on real-life killers—all torridly curated by AGFA and Something Weird.

THE SADIST aka SWEET BABY CHARLIE (1963, 92 mins, B&W)
Based on the murderous rampage of Charles Starkweather and Caril Fugate, THE SADIST stars Arch Hall, Jr. (EEGAH) in one of the most gripping and accomplished independent horror films of the 1960s.

THE OTHER SIDE OF BONNIE & CLYDE (1968, 61 mins, Color)
In the spirit of THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN, THE OTHER SIDE OF BONNIE & CLYDE is a surreal ficto-documentary from Larry Buchanan (ZONTAR, THE THING FROM VENUS).

THE ZODIAC KILLER: NOIR (1971/2025, 75 mins, B&W)
Newly color-graded in black and white and re-edited to resemble a grim horror-noir, THE ZODIAC KILLER: NOIR is a fresh take on the only horror movie in history that was made explicitly to catch a serial killer.

Reviews

Agfa smashing

"Wow, 3 excellent genre flicks and each of them looks incredible with the new restorations. Sadist is worth the price of entry alone. More fire from the Agfa line."

Ben C. (4/5)

Arch Hall Jr. is a True Crime Nightmare

"One of the best old Something Weird properties and the best Arch Hall, Jr. performance. A surprisingly tense thriller with a truly unusual lead. These AGFA releases are wonderful."

Kenneth F. (5/5)

Grimy little time capsule

"True Crime Triple Feature was mainly a pickup for me because I’m really fascinated in the Zodiac Killer mystery, and the Bonnie & Clyde material ended up being a really fun bonus on top of that. I liked how rough and exploitation-heavy everything felt without losing that strange historical fascination these kinds of films have. There’s something weirdly compelling about seeing real-life crime stories filtered through such sensationalized old-school filmmaking styles. It honestly feels less like watching polished true crime and more like digging through a very chaotic piece of film history. It was super fun to add the cheeky card trying to snag that handwriting sample."

Kenia C. (5/5)

Fun Triple Feature

"This collection of films makes total sense grouped together. I enjoyed all three. Highly recommended."

Jeffrey L. (5/5)

Worth it Just for The “Sadist”

"The Sadist is easily one of the best horror films from the 60s; truly one a kind. Hall Jr is perfect in the role and has such an amazing mug. I upgraded my Code Red blu just to have both cuts of the film. Zodiac recut is interesting but merely a one-off watch - best to watch the actual film on the standalone AGFA release. And Bonnie isn’t even with more than this mention. 5 stars for The Sadist & a must buy for this film alone"

Aaron P. (5/5)

AGFA & Something Weird have

"AGFA & Something Weird have teamed up again to deliver a truly strange triple feature of unique crime films."

Kirk W. (5/5)

Arch Hal Jr. masterpiece

"The Sadist is a masterpiece of filmmaking. I can't recommend enough. The Zodiac Noir is just a black and white version of a prior release and the other side of Bonnie and Clyde is a documentary made in the classic exploitation fashion with recreation and all."

Jean L. (5/5)

Great entertainment value

"3 greet releases including my favorite The other side of Bonnie and Clyde innallits glory. Solid entertainment! Fantastic slip cover as well."

Pierre M. (5/5)

The Sadist is worth the whole bundle alone. Great deal.

"So glad that The Sadist finally has a good restoration and physical release! The extra films are just a bonus! I already have and love the color version of Zodiac Killer and am excited to see how the new black and white version holds up. AGFA is the best!"

Bren A. (5/5)

AGFA trilogy of truth

"Another great release from AGFA. The zodiac one is still my favorite."
