The Disco Exorcist

"Wild Eye Releasing is on of my new favorite Partner Labels to release b-horror the Vinegar Syndrome website. The Disco Exorcist will delight fans of old school 70’s horror and it has a unique take on such films produced around that time. Packaging and presentation are excellent!"

"Crazy wild ride for disco exorcist! highly recommend"

Silly Gory Fun

"This is a fun watch, especially with some booze and bud. I laughed, I flinched, I wanted more."

"I've realized I've hit a point where I'm just burnt out on these fake-retro jokefest things. I've come to bristle at a movie wasting my time by thinking of itself as a fucking joke, something this one bothered me with for the first section of time. Thankfully, it finds some actual footing and tells a coherent story while keeping the humor low-key enough that it's not a spazfest and I could begin to overlook the post-Grindhouse aesthetics to just watch the film as it is and enjoy it enough."

Dustin B. (3/5)

Hugely fun exploitation horror comedy

"Packed with nudity and 70's flavor, this is a fun one. My only complaint is the overused trope of putting a filter on the movie to make it look like a scratched up 70's print. This isn't necessary and I'm not a fan of that. As such the tradeup to HD isn't as spectacular as it might have been. Still well worth buying though. I have the original DVD and was thrilled to see the new release. Not a lot of new extras but otherwise a great edition."

Ed K. (5/5)

Fun!

"Very funny horror comedy with a goofy (in a good way) lead actor. Sarah Nicklin is great as the porn star love interest. Fun trippy psychedelic imagery. Lots of sex and gore. Overall just a good time. Definitely pick it up if you’re into low budget stuff."

Nick M. (4/5)

Honestly this was a blind

"Honestly this was a blind buy and it was a little too wink wink nudge nudge for me. I really appreciated the horror aspects but the comedy was a bit too silly for me to get into the film at any point. Kudos for the costume design and the actors were great, just not my cup of tea. Probably one of the best slipcovers in a long time, though!"

"Decent retro fun, with a 'Simon King of the Witches' vibe (maybe even a pinch of 'Psyched by the 4D Witch'). Plenty of nudity and silliness. Shame the picture has fake ageing applied - not necessary at all!"

Richard B. (4/5)

Happy to See Wild Eye Love - A Welcomed Partner Addition

"Wild Eye Releasing is a little like an updated version of what Saturn's Core releases: Gory, Sexy, Entertain flicks that, though didn't cost much to make, are always a good time. THE DISCO EXORCIST checks all the boxes."
