Presented in partnership with Something Weird Video...

The American Genre Film Archive (AGFA) represents the world's largest theatrical catalog of exploitation cinema. Their home video line presents a diverse selection of movies, ranging from new preservations of classics from the vast library of Something Weird to the wildest in shot-on-video (SOV) titles. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

Shot guerilla-style in the shadows of Brooklyn, TEENAGE GANG DEBS combines the template of FREAKS with the blueprint for HAIRSPRAY to forge the most essential juvenile delinquent gutter-noir that ever was. With its cinéma vérité fight scenes, gang leaders who wear cardigan sweaters, and refreshing flip of gender roles in exploitation, this Something Weird classick feels like what would happen if The Shangri-Las stopped singing “Leader Of The Pack” and started stabbing punks with switchblades.

Great cover

"Good quality"

Isaac G. (5/5)

Like being slapped in the face by 1964 itself…

"If you shoved a motorcycle, a bouffant wig, a leather jacket, a switchblade, some bad jazz records, and a whole can of Aqua Net in a blender, this movie would be the result of a couple rounds on “liquify”, daddy-o. This flick’s got it all. The opening scene - and a couple of others within - are actually a little traumatizing, but it’s an early exploitation film, meant to shock and dismay. Par for the course. The acting is awful, and fits every scene perfectly. “Gang members” look as if they’ll bust out laughing in the middle of Parmesan-encrusted fight scenes, and it’s a riot. Damn good time. So glad to have this."

"Love the stylization on these AGFA slipcovers!"

Jesse H. (5/5)

NYC time capsule

"If you, like me, happen to own a 1956 Cadillac this one is gonna be a little painful to watch. With that out of the way though, the teen dance parties reflecting absurd and manic sixties dance crazes and knife fights between dorks in cardigan sweaters is awesome. Glad to own this!"

Charles W. (5/5)

Cheesy B&W

"No-budget teenage biker gang drama. It’s very cheesy and a fun look at New York during the time."

Jeffrey L. (3/5)

Gang Debs on Fire

"Another very solid release from AGFA. Teenage Gang Debs is bare knuckle, back alley filmmaking at its finest. Picks up where Hollywood noir left off, without the production code breathing down the filmmakers’ necks. One of the best roughies. Nice slipcover, special features and a great transfer of an obscure classic."

Kenneth F. (5/5)

Another AGFA release

"Great presentation, awesome slipcover. Tons of features."

Brian T. (5/5)

Teenage Gang Debs

"More curiosity than classic, it endures as a gritty artifact of regional gang‑girl pulp."

Pierre-Yves L. (3/5)

Another perfect title for AGFA

"Another perfect title for AGFA Releasing. This release sure is something as I've never heard of it and damn it's campy and very Brooklyn with those great accents and everything. The whole presentation is just fantastic. Keep up the great work!"

Bryan K. (5/5)
