Reviews
Another great release from Shudder.
"Another great release from Shudder. Ever since I watched the Emily Hagins documentary about the making of Pathogen when she was 12 years old I always rooted for her. This one was very lighthearted but still had some really good gruesome moments. Nice extras too with a commentary that is quite entertaining and some cool deleted scenes."
— Bryan K. (5/5)
Glad to see Emily still making films!
"Sorry About the Demon is a fun and quirky horror‑comedy about a guy whose heartbreak turns into chaos when he accidentally rents a haunted house full of restless spirits. It leans more into laughs and oddball moments than scares, and the likable, goofy lead helps keep the story entertaining even when the tone gets a little uneven. If you’re in the mood for a playful mix of rom‑com vibes and spooky antics, it’s a surprisingly charming watch. "

Demon Girl: The Movie
"It’s been a pleasure seeing Emily Hagins continue to evolve as a filmmaker over the last two decades, and SATD continues her strength of blending genre trappings with fully realized characters trying to navigate aging, relationships, and the abysmal housing market. Amber T hits this last point well in her booklet essay, which does well in illustrating the depth that Hagins’ films have always had. The Shudder releases I’ve gotten always do a good job with the special features, and while what’s here would be bog standard for a home media release from 20 years ago, nowadays it’s refreshing to see this level of production for a recent picture. The artwork for the slipcover is a lot of fun too."

Loved it!
"I'm a big fan of Emily Hagins' films. And I love that a pre-teen filmmaker (2006's Pathogen, available elsewhere on this site) has kept going and is still making fantastic movies."
— Robert H. (5/5)
A horror comedy that's more comedy and lacking when it comes to horror
"its funny but not a scare video movie. the slipcover quality is good and the special features ok"

Sorry About the Demon Shudder bluray review
"Sorry About the Demon is the next fun title to be released by Shudder. The story deals with a man who broke up with his girlfriend and now has to deal with a house that is haunted. This movie was a lot of fun. I truly enjoyed it. The disc has some fun features and comes with deleted scenes, a featurette, and an informative booklet. As usual, the OCN slipcover looks great! Check this one out. It was a lot of fun and well worth your time!"
