Welcome to the special edition Blu-ray of... SNOWY BING BONGS ACROSS THE NORTH STAR COMBAT ZONE. This blissfully bonkers whatzit from unclassifiable dance-comedy trio Cocoon Central Dance Team - Sunita Mani (GLOW, MR. ROBOT), Tallie Medel (EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE), and Eleanore Pienta (A DIFFERENT MAN) - is part psychotropic performance art spectacle, part absurdist sketch show. The three Bing Bongs lounge about, fight beachballs, and periodically break into wondrously strange dance routines, with outer space interludes, a serious consideration of doctor boners, and a 90s-style girl group meltdown along the way. It all plays like a live action cartoon piped in from a cotton-candy-colored alternate universe. Produced by the Academy Award-winning Daniels (EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE). Featuring Kate Berlant (WOULD IT KILL YOU TO LAUGH?), Joe Pera (JOE PERA TALKS WITH YOU), Keith Poulson (I BLAME SOCIETY), and Reggie Watts (COMEDY BANG BANG). Written and Directed by Rachel Wolther (THE FRENCH ITALIAN), and Alex H Fischer (SAVE YOURSELVES!).

Art For Alt’s Sake

"Love it when creative and artistic people who are working in a space that doesn’t necessarily lend itself to film or television figure out a way to get their vision out there. You’ll know from the name if this is something you’ll enjoy. Gave me a similar feeling that “Three Busy Debras” did, though I wouldn’t call the two projects similar other than the fact that both are from a trio of talented women."

Preposterous!

"I honestly liked this so much more than I expected. It’s so weird but in a good way! If I could describe the film in one word it would be ‘preposterous’ because the movie is preposterous. I did find out later that it is available on YouTube but don’t let that discourage you from buying it because the bonus features make this worth the purchase."

Ismael F. (5/5)

Hilarious and fun

"Not easy to describe but easy to love. This is one of the most hilarious things I've seen in a long time. The sketches work better than the dancing in the film itself, but both are incredibly funny. Cocoon Central Dance Team are geniuses. If you're at all interested, check it out. You won't be sorry. The movie is very short but the extras make up for that. I hope for more from this group. They definitely deserve a higher profile and some streamer should step up and buy a series from them."

Ed K. (5/5)

Genius

"Everything about this film is a work of genius. Everything but the Key Grip's work. That was just excellent. Like still an A+. But other than the Key Grip - this movie is a work of GENIUS. I owe the Key Grip some money and they've been quite insistent that I pay it back. But come on, focus on your job and quit calling me."

Marc O. (5/5)

Comedic genius

"Snowy Bing Bongs across the Northern Combat Zone should be required viewing. It is the best comedy of the last several decades and deserves a place among the very best"

Hannah M. (5/5)

Great release!

"Beach balls. Doctor boners. Farts. Snow. This film, starring Cocoon Central Dance Team, just might have invented its own genre: comedy-dance-sketch-fantasy. Recommended release, get it while you can."

Sebastian V. (5/5)
