This special limited edition spot gloss and embossed slipcover (designed by Robert Sammelin) is limited to 2,000 units and is only available on our website and at select indie retailers. Absolutely no major retailers will be stocking them.

Umbrella Entertainment has been a 100% Australian-owned and operated distributor for over 20 years. Their vast home entertainment catalogue features an extensive range of Australian classic, cult and exploitation films restored under the eyes of the original filmmakers. All sourced from national archives, underground collectors and local basements.

In the wake of the success of RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, maverick Ozploitation auteurs John D. Lamond (FELICITY) and Colin Eggleston (LONG WEEKEND) joined forces on this breezy, tongue-in-cheek, thrill-a-minute, big screen epic inspired by their love of Republic Pictures’ cliffhanger serials.

Boasting exotic location work (including a climactic showdown filmed on Easter Island) and an action-packed, genre-bending plot that includes time warps, UFOs, the Bermuda Triangle and the Philadelphia Experiment – not to mention an aerial dogfight and a RAIDERS-style truck chase – SKY PIRATES is the ultimate old fashioned, fast-moving, two-fisted, pulpy B-movie experience! What’s not to like?

Umbrella Entertainment proudly presents the worldwide high-def debut of this weird and wild Ozploitation rarity with a new 4K transfer from the original 35mm vault materials supervised by cinematographer Garry Wapshott.

John Hargreaves is Flight Lt. Harris – a wisecracking pilot with an addiction for adventure. He teams up with the feisty daughter of a kidnapped clergyman and they hotfoot it across the globe to rescue her father and locate the separated pieces of a powerful, mystical tablet. In pursuit is arch villain Savage (Max Phipps) hell-bent on getting his mitts on “the ultimate power”.

                            Cool movie

"Cool Adventure movie with a great transfer. This was a blind buy and I'm not disappointed, genuinely fun."

                            Tyler B. (4/5)

Not even so bad it's good

"bad flick mediocre stunts and a very boring presentation . The first half hour of this film wasn't bad at all & I thought it was another ridiculous IMDB rating. Unfortunately it degenerated into a farce and the 3. 5 rating ended pretty justified. I don't want to waste much time on this but two scenes were particularly poor & deserve comment. The Russian roulette & Bomber climbing out on the side of the plane, were both laughable (in the wrong ways) in the extreme. The ending was pretty atrotious too. I had trouble also working out how plan of the 'Evil Savage' linked in with the Bermuda Triangle type section, and what control (if any Savage had over that). Also the deaths of the other original survivors & the kidnapping of the girls' father seemed to be glaized over so quick they went unnoticed."

                            TASOS T. (5/5)

                            Fun Pulp Adventure

"This pulp adventure movie has a good transfer, and it's loaded with very good extras."

                            Rick M. (4/5)

                            Aussie Indiana Jones knock-off

"An Aussie Indiana Jones knock-off that's a half baked mashup of every 80s hit film, Republic serial and 40s comic book. Looks good considering how cheap it was, Hargreaves is great and it's so utterly ludicrous and over the top it's hard not to enjoy."

                            craig g. (4/5)

                            Great Value Indy
