Saturn's Core Audio & Video is a New Jersey based home video label devoted to releasing underground oddities and shot on video cinema on VHS, and now, blu-ray discs! In partnership with OCN Distribution, Saturn's Core will exhume forgotten or under-seen genre cinema from the 80s and 90s, with an emphasis on SOV horror features. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

After witnessing the murder of his children at the hands of an unhinged serial killer, criminal psychologist Gregory Burroughs (Mark Brazeale) becomes consumed with an unquenchable thirst for revenge. While tracking the killers’ gruesome trail of carnage, he uncovers a violent underworld inhabited by a mysterious sect of cold blooded assassins. His journey culminates with an unforgettable climax of vengeance; an explosion of edge-of-your-seat suspense, unexpected plot twists, and a high caliber hail of bullets and bloodshed.

Following on the heels of Sinistre, Missouri based, underground auteur Ronnie Sortor returned with his sophomore, SOV offering Ravage; an innovative new vision that again highlighted his trademark mix of kinetic action and gritty regional horror. An astounding cornucopia of jaw-dropping action stunts and set pieces, exploding squibs and pyrotechnics, Hong Kong inspired gunplay, and practical, eye-gouging gore FX, Ravage remains a fortified micro-budget classic that continues to dazzle adventurous fans and critics alike.

    Another Terrific Saturn's Core Release!

"This slipcover is awesome, as always with anything VS or their awesome partner Labels release! Yes, this is a low budget movie, but that is part of its charm! It is a cool movie that was a lot of fun to watch! I always love the unique VS service of allowing you to stack as many movies as you like in your cart during any release period and ship them for free! The peerless VS restoration process was on full display with stellar sound and picture! Thank you, VS, for continuing to lovingly restore and release so many wonderful films from every conceivable genre! You are keeping physical media alive in this streaming world we now live in! Highly recommended!"

    Not as good as Sinistre

"I really liked Sinistre but this wasn't nearly as good."

    Loved this

"Was reluctant initially to buy but now don’t regret it. Was a lot of fun"

    Billy-Jack D. (5/5)

    Fun and Surprisingly Well Directed

"There's a couple of genuinely awesome action sequences in this revenge thriller. The shootout at the police station is fantastic. Like really well-directed and bloody as heck squib effects. Even the editing was above and beyond most SOV I've seen. The hero's backstory is similar to the Punisher's, except this ridiculous lead actor seems only slightly irritated that some punks wasted his family, haha. Really nice mix of action and so bad it's a riot filmmaking here. Good villain too. This guy also made Sinistre, which was the other SOV standout I saw, recommend that one too! There's an easter egg on the main menu."

    SC-013

"I enjoyed the previous movie called SINISTRE by director Ronnie Sortor a lot, so I didn't hestitate to pick up RAVAGE when it was on sale. It's in a similar style, which I would call quite sophisticated for a SOV movie. This one is not a Horror flick though, but more of a gritty gangster movie. Still, there are so well made effects shots and gore. The acting is also way above most SOV joints that I have seen so far. This is an older Saturn's Core release, so the slipcover has the old, matte finish. Great design though. Picture quality and extras and up to SC's standards - very good."

    Dominik F. (4/5)

    Not one of my faves

"Rolled the dice on this since I liked the director's previous feature, SINISTRE, but this one didn't really do it for me. The plot is confusing and doesn't make any particular sense, and the film seems to try to shoehorn in as many random, unmotivated gun battles as it can with absolutely no rhyme or reason. They obviously put a fair amount of effort into this movie, and maybe if you like gunplay more than I do you will get more mileage out of it, but if you're looking for a compelling low budget action-thriller, IMO this misses the mark."

    John K. (2/5)

    On The Hunt

"Really enjoyed Ronnie Sortor’s Sinistre, but this wasn't as good. It's decent and they did an impressive job given the low budget. There's some great bloody gunshots, but this just doesn't have the replay value that Sinistre does. Extras are solid and Saturn's Core does a good job overall on this blu-ray release."

    Chad J. (2/5)

    Such a nice set of

"Such a nice set of blu rays from Saturns Core. I got the 10 pack and they have such a nice presentation to each. The slipcovers have both embossing and spot gloss art. And the insert is reversible with different art to show. Just overall really impressed and happy with my purchase. I’m looking forward to watching these!"
