Saturn's Core Audio & Video is a New Jersey based home video label devoted to releasing underground oddities and shot on video cinema on VHS, and now, blu-ray discs! In partnership with OCN Distribution, Saturn's Core will exhume forgotten or under-seen genre cinema from the 80s and 90s, with an emphasis on SOV horror features. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

After witnessing the murder of his children at the hands of an unhinged serial killer, criminal psychologist Gregory Burroughs (Mark Brazeale) becomes consumed with an unquenchable thirst for revenge. While tracking the killers’ gruesome trail of carnage, he uncovers a violent underworld inhabited by a mysterious sect of cold blooded assassins. His journey culminates with an unforgettable climax of vengeance; an explosion of edge-of-your-seat suspense, unexpected plot twists, and a high caliber hail of bullets and bloodshed.

Following on the heels of Sinistre, Missouri based, underground auteur Ronnie Sortor returned with his sophomore, SOV offering Ravage; an innovative new vision that again highlighted his trademark mix of kinetic action and gritty regional horror. An astounding cornucopia of jaw-dropping action stunts and set pieces, exploding squibs and pyrotechnics, Hong Kong inspired gunplay, and practical, eye-gouging gore FX, Ravage remains a fortified micro-budget classic that continues to dazzle adventurous fans and critics alike.

    SOV films are an acquired

"SOV films are an acquired taste and this one was just okay. I’m not complaining though, as the price was too good to pass up, and I really enjoyed the Director's other film, Sinistre, also released from VS partners. You also get a very cool feature length doc and a short film among other extras."

    Blind buy SC

"I blind bought this Saturn's Core release and it's a good one! Very happy with my purchase. Great slip, too."

    Jakob P. (5/5)

    Quality SOV

"Man, I am bummed that Ronnie Sortor only ever directed two feature films. Like Sinistre before it, this is quality SOV filmmaking. It honestly held my attention more than a good 75% of whatever Hollyweird is churning out these days. Ambitious, inventive, and well-staged and acted for action on a dime, it's a Death Wish-like story of a father who watches his daughters get murdered by a serial killer and then sets out for revenge. It's bloody as all get out, fast-paced, wickedly mean-spirited, fun, and entertaining as shit. Given more money, Sortor could have made a go of the majors. Too bad it just didn't happen for many microbudget filmmakers like him back in the '90s."

    Michael S. (4/5)

    SOV classic

"Bought it on the Vinegar Syndrome website. This is a SOV classic with remastered picture quality and sound, so you hear the many gunshots very clearly."

    Lennard B. (5/5)

    Holy shit

"This low budget effort is hard to follow up with it's sheer volume of insanity!"

    Bill B. (5/5)

    Super violent and well shot

"A step above most 90s SOV - it's very unpredictable and worth your time."

    Gav R. (4/5)

    Ravaging

"Pretty good SOV follow-up of sorts to Sinistre. I'm impressed at how straight this movie plays itself, it makes me want to watch more crime SOV flicks."

    Astrid R. (4/5)

    Ravage

"An action packed b rated movie 🍿🎥"

    Josh W. (5/5)

    Love this director's work! Not

"Love this director's work! Not quite the same level as Sinistre, for me, but still highly recommended SOV"

    Matthew P. (4/5)

    Guns! Anger!

"Rage! Very intense and fun SOV that tries to do something a little different. Enjoyed this probably more than I should!"
