This special limited edition slipcover (designed by Earl Kessler Jr.) is limited to 1,000 units and is only available on our website and at select indie retailers. Absolutely no major retailers will be stocking them.

VHSHITFEST has been uncovering and releasing movies on video for over a decade, across DVD and VHS, and is now moving into blu-ray, with the same goal to showcase the most unique, crazy, and obscure movies that they've discovered through years of collecting VHS, allowing even more people to actually be able to experience these nearly lost gems in the best versions possible.

Join Will Walker as he test pilots a captured enemy ship that shadows an unearthly childhood. On the mission he must work with a team of engineers and scientists who are members of an ancient secret society. By methodical use of silverware and ladders they have figured out how to make the movie (which is Will’s life) auto-rewind to the beginning over and over again.

Jared Whitham started Project Omicron when he was 15 years old and spent 7 years working on it. The result is one of the most unique and mind-bending sci-fi films you can imagine while also being a perfect love letter to the 50s science fiction films Whitham grew up watching. VHSHITFEST is so happy to shine a light on this extremely obscure gem with hours of extras!

              Another winner

"Almost indescribable in terms of plot, but this has a certain Tetsuo via the mind of a teenager vibe going on that I liked. Very glad Saturn's Core keeps finding movies like this. Can't wait to check out the shorts!"

              Damn VHSSHITFEST putting another great

"Damn VHSSHITFEST putting another great release out. They really go all out and introduce the world to all these obscure weird films. It's only 60m mins and it has a great twist too. Super loaded with extras and just a great bizarro film. My eyes are opened."

              Bryan K. (5/5)

              Fun scifi

              Project Omicron VHShitfest bluray review

"VHShitfest is a great Vinegar Syndrome Partner Label that releases fun, underseen movies and presents them in fantastic special editions so that they can be enjoyed and appreciated. Project Omicron is a bizarrely wonderful movie. The movie deals with a test pilot who is flying a captured enemy plane. He works with a team that is a part of a secret society. This society has developed a way to rewind the pilots life, almost like a movie. This sci-fi movie is unique and amazing, especially considering its low budget roots. The movie looks decent, even though it is from an SOV master. The disc is stacked. It has two commentaries, interviews, BTS footage, bloopers and 10 short films. Check this one out. I've loved everything that VHS has releases."

              Mark P. (5/5)

              Project Omicron

"this felt like it was made in a warehouse (it was. ) how the movie was made shows how much people will believe in one vision if its strong enough."

              Chris S. (5/5)

              Inventive Yet Dull

"Project Omicron presents a mysterious narrative centered around a covert scientific experiment, unfolding with a deliberately slow pace and minimal exposition. The film’s visual style is stark and atmospheric, creating a sense of unease that complements its ambiguous storyline. While it may not offer clear answers, its open-ended approach invites interpretation and discussion."

              Shawn M. (3/5)

              First things first, the artwork

"First things first, the artwork on the slipcover is amazing. It's one of the things that make VHShitfest releases worth checking out. The flick itself was interesting. I actually found myself invested in it. I always appreciate how they try and make these SOV movies look as good as possible"

              Project Omicron

"VHShitfest is my favorite sub-label on Vinegar Syndrome and the rare hits keep coming. If you haven’t heard of VHShitfest and want to checkout the offerings any release is a good place to start including this one. Packaging and presentation are on point."

              Matt R. (5/5)

              Project Omicron

"The movie was definitely trippy and a unique viewing experience, one that I’m not likely to forget. I think the best way to describe it is a weird throwback to 50s sci-fi. It’s a little slow and lost me in some places, but the story was solid and I really liked the twist at the end. I was thinking about the ending for the next couple of days. I haven’t checked out the bonus features yet, but I hear that there’s a lot to look forward too."

              Jonathan M. (5/5)

              Massive Undertaking

"This is a modern movie miracle. This genius kid spent 7 years making this movie, starting at age 15, and there’s nothing else like it. Must be seen to be believed, best use of silverware ever."

              Bryan K. (5/5)
